Doing the same cardio every day makes your body adapt, so you burn fewer calories even though you're doing the same work. To keep burning calories, you need to add challenge: go longer, faster, steeper, or heavier.
The more cardio you do, the less calories you burn, and here's why. Let's say you're on the treadmill for 30 minutes at a 2.5 speed, and right now this burns 300 calories. If you kept doing this every day for a month, your body is going to get better at doing that cardio. So when it gets better, it means you don't have to work as hard, which means you end up burning less calories. So it's actually a good sign you're improving your health, but what would you have to do to still burn a lot of calories, you would either have to increase the duration of the cardio, you would have to increase the speed, or add something like walk with a weighted vest, or add an incline to your walk. This will keep challenging your body. You won't just end up burning less and less calories over time.
