Genetics do impact losing fat. For example, I am 6'4 and my entire life I have not been able to sit still. My metabolism is going to be naturally higher than somebody else's. Or if someone has Hashimoto's, PCOS, hypothyroidism, their metabolism would be naturally lower. Than somebody else's. But here's the part nobody talks about. While genetics may make it harder to lose weight, it does not make it impossible. For example, our client Natalie was able to lose belly fat with PCOS, or our client Rochelle has lost fat with hypothyroidism, PCOS, and perimenopause. All of the same principles apply— eating in a calorie deficit, eating high protein, lifting weights, getting daily steps. Yes, you may need to work harder and it may be slower for you, but it's not impossible. And you need to know that because if you think no matter what you do, you're not going to be able to lose weight, you won't ever actually even try. So you got this.
