get into the best shape of your life ONCE.

In this solo motivational video, Eric Roberts urges viewers to commit to getting into the best shape of their lives a single time, arguing that the experience will fundamentally change how they view themselves and their daily choices. He uses a first‑class travel analogy to illustrate the premium quality of a fit, healthy body versus the discomfort of a less‑fit lifestyle. Roberts acknowledges that the initial phase of exercise and diet requires “brute force” and mental effort, especially the hardest part of simply starting a workout or meal‑prep routine. He stresses that sustainable, realistic habits—rather than short‑term dieting—are essential for lasting change, and that moderation (including occasional alcohol and favorite foods) is compatible with a healthy lifestyle. The talk highlights the psychological shift from self‑consciousness to confidence that comes from seeing tangible health improvements, such as better blood work, more energy, and the ability to enjoy activities with family. Roberts concludes by promoting his 8‑week fat‑loss challenge, offering structured coaching, accountability, and a plan to help viewers transition from the “old” version of themselves to a new, disciplined lifestyle, and points to a follow‑up video that details expected timelines for visible progress.

All it takes is getting into the best shape of your life once. You will realize how much better your entire life experience will be. You won't walk past full-length mirrors and hate what you see. You'll shop for clothes you actually like versus buying what you have to wear to not hate how you look. You'll be able to take your shirt off at the pool and not be self-conscious about yourself. From a physical perspective, you won't be so hot and sweaty all the time. You'll have energy to play with your kids or go on hikes. You'll get your blood work back and you finally won't be in the pre-diabetic range. And I know you know these things, but actually experiencing it is completely different. Once you get a taste, you won't settle for anything less, and you won't want to go back. For example, the first time I ever flew first class on a plane, I got the experience of— I was able to board early, so I got right on the plane, pulled out my laptop, and started to get to work. That was awesome. The service was incredible. I'm a big guy. I'm 6'4, 250 pounds, so I had a lot more room, which was amazing. You got food served to you. When the plane landed, you were able to get up first, get off the plane, and get to your destination. The entire experience of first class— I left that and I was like, I will do whatever it takes in my life. I don't care how hard I have to work. I will only fly first class now on moving forward. And that's what you will do with your health. You will live in a first-class body That you will not want to give up or go back from. And the things that you struggle with right now that are keeping you from that first-class body— the drinks, the alcohol, the junk food, the laziness, procrastination, staying up late, missing workouts— honestly, honestly, those things become pretty irrelevant. Have you ever looked at somebody who's in shape or disciplined and you think to yourself, Man, how can they do it? How are they always so disciplined? It just seems like it's easy for them. Well, it's because they've been doing it a long time and it's become a part of their habits, but it's also because they've experienced what it's like on both sides. I can assure you, they've lived the life of drinking, partying, not prioritizing their health, and they've experienced waking up in the morning, liking what they see in the mirror, having energy, crushing their day. Taking the shirt off and feeling confident. And they realize, holy shit, this is so much better than that other life. So sticking to it and being disciplined becomes easy for them. It's not something they have to force themselves to do anymore. They do it because they choose it. Again, let's go back to the first class analogy. If you had the funds and all other things aside from an environment perspective, if you were traveling from Florida to California, Would you rather take a bus with no AC with 100 people crammed inside, or would you rather take a private jet with you and your friends? You could arrive to the airport whenever you want, you board your private jet with your best friends, you get great service, you land, you go, you just go straight through everything, you're good. I think, of course, you would pick the private jet. You won't have to force yourself to pick the private jet. Nobody's twisting your arm To take the private jet instead. That's the same thing with your health. For example, right now I'm recording this at six o'clock in the morning on a Wednesday. I've been up since four thirty. I just got up a little bit early today, but I wake up early. I get my shit done. I get to work. I'm gonna train later today. I gotta go for a run. Ah, this is not hard for me. I choose to do this because I know the life that it brings to me. That being said, I won't lie to you, especially in the beginning. It's not gonna be easy, and this is. Going to require some brute force. You will have to mentally push yourself, get outside of your comfort zone. And the way I think about this, if you're somebody who's ever been a runner or gone for a run recently, hence my new Garmin watch, I have started to run more because of my HYROX races that I do. Different story for a different day, but you'll relate to this. When you know you have to start going on a run, at least this is what I do, I will do my warm-ups and I'm just sitting there Like, I really don't want to get this started. I don't want to hop on this treadmill. I don't want to start, you know, starting the run. That's the hardest part, right? It's just getting started. Or maybe it's when you go to start a workout, when you go to start meal prepping. Starting is the hardest part. And then even when you start, maybe you don't feel that great. You haven't really hit a rhythm or a stride yet. Maybe your joints are a little achy, your knees might be a little wonky. But what happens when you get 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes into anything that you start doing? You start to find a little bit of a rhythm. You find a stride. With running, you kind of start to sweat a little bit. The energy— actually, you get more energy when you start. You find that rhythm, you find that runner's high, and it's almost easier just to keep yourself going. But you had to use some of that brute force in the beginning to actually get started, to get to that point where you have the momentum. And that's exactly what you're going to need to do in the beginning with your diet, your exercise, your lifestyle change. Now, it should be something that is sustainable and realistic for you, which I'll talk about in a second. But I want to hit on what I just said, which is the lifestyle. There's a reason you hear that so many people diet and gain their weight back. Maybe it's been you before. And that's because you are not going to be the same person that you were, that you used to be. That old version of you who drank, stayed out late, missed workouts, ate whatever they want when they, when they went out to eat. That version of you is going to be gone. It is going to die. You're not going to live that life anymore. Again, using the same first-class analogy, I will use myself as the example. If I have worked incredibly hard for the last 10+ years of my life, which I have, and I can say that with confidence, if I worked really hard to be able to be in a position where I can fly first class If I stop working really hard, well, guess what happens? I'm no longer going to be in this position. So I won't be able to keep that first class if I want to fly somewhere and do something. I have to keep living this lifestyle, keep working as hard as I am, if not harder, push myself even more to be able to maintain that lifestyle. And you might think to yourself, wow, that seems like a lot of work, or that seems like you can never really take a break. You don't want to take a break from living a great life. Why would you want to take a break or stop doing the things that are getting you the life that you want? This is why for you, when people start a diet, they start working out, and they think it's just for the short term. They think they're just gonna count their calories and eat healthier and go on these walks for the short term so they can lose some weight and look better in the mirror for a vacation or just for the short term. No shit, you're gonna gain all of your weight back. No wonder It's not going to be sustainable for you because you haven't done it from the beginning in a way that you've accepted, this is my new lifestyle. This person who was this, that is the result they got. That version of me, they didn't like when they took their shirt off. They had health complications with their blood work. They never liked or was, was confident in themselves and had low self-esteem. Do you want to go back to that? Or do you want to change the lifestyle that you have to get the life that you want? And so accept from the beginning. Yes, this means even if you feel like you're missing out on the drinking, the staying out late, the going out and partying, the being able to be free and eat whatever you want and not have to think about food. And let me break this down a bit more for you. It's not to say you can't enjoy your favorite foods. In fact, all of the clients that we coach, they all enjoy their favorite foods. They enjoy some alcohol here and there. But they enjoy this within moderation, within their limits. A lot of people feel this freeing sense of, well, I just get to go out and I get to drink and I get to eat whatever I want. I have a stressful job, I have a long week, I just want to unwind. And while in the moment it may be fun to let loose and not think about food in the moment, when you wake up the next morning, the next week, the next month, and you still look in the mirror and don't like what you see, you still hide from pictures, you still take your shirt off and are super self-conscious, you don't even take your shirt off because of it, that's cool. You had your fun in the moment and you didn't have to think about it for the 3 hours that you went out. But what about the other 7 days of the week where all you think about is losing weight? All you think about is the clothes that you can't wear. All you think about is how much you want to look and feel better about yourself. Is that 3 or 4 hours of letting loose really worth the rest of the week you thinking about it? Or is that 3 to 4 hours where you can still enjoy yourself and have things in moderation, but you don't just let loose and go overboard? You doing that for those 3 to 4 hours allows you the rest of the week, month, years of your life to not have to worry about how you look, to not have to worry about your health, to be confident, in how you feel about yourself. That's the trade-off. And that's why I say do whatever it takes to get in the best shape of your life once. I know this to be true because our clients that we coach who go through these amazing transformations that you're seeing on the screen right now, they tell us when they get to their transformation there and they're losing weight, building muscle, changing their habits, changing their lifestyle, they go, I never want to go back. They're almost scared to go back because they never want to experience that again, knowing what it feels like to be where they are right now. And I promise you will experience that same thing.
