He explains that the weight loss was achieved by maintaining a calorie deficit and increasing his daily walking, not by eliminating sugar. Roberts criticizes the common online narrative that mandates cutting all sugar for weight loss, labeling such advice as uninformed and urging viewers to dismiss it.

This was me when I was eating sugar every day. I was about 250 pounds and a much higher body fat percentage than I would have liked. And this is me, 25 pounds lighter. And you might be expecting this part of the video to tell you I cut out sugar to do this. Well, I didn't, because I'm not a psychopath. You see, a lot of butt sniffers on the internet will try to convince you you need to cut out all sugar from your diet if you want to lose weight. And truthfully, they have no clue what they're talking about. I still ate sugar. Every day on my 25-pound weight loss journey, whether it be sugar from treats, sugar from fruit, cereal, whatever. What I did change was how many overall calories I was consuming to eat in a calorie deficit, as well as upped my daily activity to walk much more during my day. So the next time you see a video of somebody telling you to cut out all your sugar, send this video to them so I can politely tell them to fuck off.
