Multiply your body weight in pounds by 0.8 to 1.0 to find your daily protein target in grams. If you're losing weight, use your goal weight instead. A 150-pound person aiming to gain muscle needs 120 to 150 grams of protein daily.

Here's exactly how much protein you should be eating per day. If your goal is to gain weight or gain muscle and not lose weight, then I want you to take your current body weight in pounds, multiply that between 0.8 and 1. So if you currently weigh 150 pounds, you will eat around 120 to 150 grams of protein per day. If your goal is to lose weight and build muscle, I want you to take your goal body weight in pounds, and then you are going to Multiply by 0.8 to 1. So if let's say you currently weigh 200 pounds and your end goal is somewhere around 130 pounds, then you're going to take 130, multiply that between 0.8 and 1, and you will want to eat 105 to 130 grams of protein per day. I hope this helped, and if you don't already, feel free to drop me a follow.
