Eric Roberts fixes nine common strength-training mistakes: tuck elbows on shoulder presses, stop bicep curls halfway, row toward hips not chest, keep Romanian deadlifts to shin level, raise shoulders toward wall corners, rotate front raises so thumbs point up, step back and out on lunges, push rear-delt flies outward, and drop weight after deadlifts instead of controlling it down.

Instead of having your elbows out wide on a shoulder press, tuck them closer in. Instead of coming all the way up on a bicep curl, stop when the dumbbell is about halfway up. Instead of pulling the dumbbell to your chest on rows, pull the dumbbell back towards your hips. Instead of going all the way down on a Romanian deadlift, just go down to your shin Level. Instead of going directly out to the side on shoulder raises, think about pushing the weight out to the corners of the walls. Instead of having your hands facing down on front raises, move your hands so your thumbs are pointing to the ceiling. Instead of stepping directly back on a lunge, step back and out to the side. for better balance. Instead of bringing the weight back on rear delt flies, push the weight out to the side of the walls. And instead of trying to control the weight down during deadlifts, after you lift the weight up, just let the weight drop right back down.
