The next time you overeat, here's an exact plan to follow to get back on track and not ruin your progress. Number 1, you're going to drink 100 ounces of water the next day. All of the weight you gain after 1 day of overeating is water, so if you drink a lot of water, you will flush that water weight out. Number 2, you're going to walk, walk, and walk some more, preferably 8,000 to 10,000 steps per day, split and broken up, especially after meals. This will help with your digestion and bloating. Number 3, you're gonna eat a shit ton of fruit. Fruit not only has a lot of good nutrients that can help you, but it also has a high water content which can help you flush out the water weight. Number 4, go lift weights. When you overeat, you typically overate on carbs. All of those carbs can be used to go have a great strength training workout. And number 5, by far the most important, Don't beat yourself up. Don't freak out. Don't feel guilty. Just get back on track. You can't ruin your progress in one day, just like you don't make all of your progress in one day.
