In this concise, no‑nonsense YouTube monologue, Eric Roberts outlines a five‑step hierarchy for losing more than 20 lb of body fat. He ranks the steps by importance, starting with fiber intake (20‑30 g/day) as #5, followed by weightlifting (#4), daily steps (#3, aim 6,000‑10,000), protein (#2, 0.7 g per pound of target body weight), and finally calories (#1). Roberts stresses that regardless of food quality, without tracking calories you cannot lose weight, and he directs viewers to a free calorie‑deficit calculator linked in his bio. The video’s purpose is to give viewers a clear, actionable priority list for fat loss, with specific quantitative targets and a blunt, motivational tone.

If you have more than 20 pounds of body fat that you want to lose, here is a step-by-step, no BS system that you should follow, listed in order of importance. We're going to start with number 5. It's something that most people don't talk about, but will make a big difference in your journey. And that is how many grams of fiber you eat per day. Fiber helps fill you up more than any other nutrient. And you should be trying to get at least 20 to 30 grams per day. Number 4 is going to be weightlifting. Now weightlifting is so good for so many other reasons, but in terms of specifically with fat loss, it's beneficial but not in the top 3. Because 3rd is going to be your daily steps. Most people eat healthy, but because they don't get enough daily steps, they're not losing weight. Aim for at least 6,000, if not going to 10,000 per day. Number 2 is going to be your daily protein intake. Take your goal body weight in pounds, multiply that by 0.7, and that's how many grams of protein you should be eating per day as a minimum. And the last most important thing is, you probably guessed it, your calories. But let me say something about this. Number 1, seriously, I don't give a shit how healthy or unhealthy you're eating. If you are not tracking your calories, then you cannot complain about not losing weight. It doesn't matter how healthy you eat, you need to eat the correct amount of calories. And if you need to know what the correct amount of calories you should be eating, click the link in my bio for a free calorie deficit calculator.
