Eric Roberts shares three fixes for bedtime hunger while staying in a calorie deficit: drink 12-20 ounces of water, eat a low-calorie high-volume snack like strawberries (100-150 calories), or choose high-protein foods since protein burns up to 30% of its calories during digestion.

If you're hungry before you go to bed, but you don't want to ruin your calorie deficit, do one of these 3 things. Number 1, drink 12 to 20 ounces of water, and it's even better if it's carbonated water like sparkling water, because most people aren't hungry, they're just dehydrated, and the carbonation of sparkling water will fill you up. Number 2, have a low-calorie, high-volume sweet treat. For example, a big bowl of strawberries or watermelon is only 100 to 150 calories, and it gives you something sweet while filling your stomach up. And number 3, if you're gonna overeat, make it high protein, because for every 100 calories of protein you eat, your body burns up to 30 of those calories. Plus, protein will help you build more muscle, which also burns more calories. And if you need to know how much protein and calories you should be eating per day, click the link in my bio.
