Walk at least 8,000 steps per day, preferably after every meal, to improve blood sugar and decrease bloating. Eat at least 25 grams of protein and 10 grams of fiber in your first meal of the day. Examples would look like Greek yogurt with chia seeds and raspberries, eggs with high-fiber bread and avocado, Overnight oats with protein powder, blackberries, and chia seeds. Stop eating 2 to 3 hours before you go to bed. This will cut out the late-night calories and improve your sleep quality. Eat a high-protein snack in between lunch and dinner— protein shake, Greek yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, tuna packets, beef jerky, edamame. Cut out or cut back on alcohol. Not only does it have calories, but you eat like an asshole when you drink it. And a bonus: lift weights 2 to 4 days per week to build muscle and increase your metabolism.
