Patrick Mahomes' dad bod actually works for him. A six-pack could hurt his performance, and visible abs are a stupid health metric anyway. Focus on strength, muscle mass, and what your body can do, not what it looks like.

This is Patrick Mahomes. He is a 3-time Super Bowl champion and the best quarterback in the NFL, as much as it pains me to say that as a Bengals fan. He's going viral recently because of his dad bod, and I got something to say about this. Patrick Mahomes is one of the best athletes on the planet. He has incredible strength, stability, agility, mobility, muscle mass. He's not a bodybuilder. He doesn't need to have a shredded 6-pack, and in fact, if he did, it would actually be a negative thing to his sport. Everybody thinks about being in shape and they think about having a shredded six-pack. I think that's fucking stupid because for the average person to obtain a six-pack, it's not only going to make your life worse, but it's just not the best indicator of your health and personal fitness level. Focus more on your strength, your muscle mass, what your mile time is, and focus less on having a shredded six-pack because if one of the best athletes in the world doesn't have one, I think you should stop beating yourself up for not having one either.
