Don't lower the leg press sled so far that your hips lift off the pad. That kills tension in your legs and strains your lower back. Stop just before your hips would leave the pad.

Stop doing this on your leg press. It's ruining your gains. Most people try to go all the way down, which ends up lifting your back and hips off the pad. And this takes the tension off of your legs and hurts your lower back. So instead, go down until right before your hips would lift off the pad. And you're going to feel like you're not coming down as low. And that's okay, because now all of the weight will stay on your legs and it won't hurt your lower back. Hope this helped, and follow for more tips.
