This is a YouTube video titled "Taylor Swift's Business Genius Unpacked" (uploaded 2026-08-25). The excerpt is a short conversational excerpt between two unnamed speakers discussing Taylor Swift's business model and fan community dynamics (including defensiveness and vitriol within the Swiftie community). Speaker A describes plans to attend a December Taylor Swift concert in Vancouver with a friend, mentions a connection to Ken Sim (mayor of Vancouver) who may provide VIP seating, and muses about possibly encountering Taylor Swift. The clip appears informal and discussion-oriented rather than a formal lecture or scripted piece.

I'm not a Swiftie. I'm not either. I'm an admirer in what she's accomplished. I am fascinated by the business model and how she's sparked a community around the Swifties. But also interesting, there's such a defensiveness in that community. Sometimes there can be vitriol and stuff. So that's really interesting dynamic. How does she navigate that? How does she keep her clients engaged but not from going too far, which they have had the tendency to do in certain circumstances and in retaliation and protection of her? I am going to see Taylor Swift.
You are?
Yep. In December, I'm going to go to Vancouver. Krista and I are flying out to Vancouver to see her perform.
Is this Krista's wish?
No, it's a mutual wish. I love her music, and I have an opinion. I don't necessarily think she's the best music writer or the best songs in the world, but I think collectively her talent, her persona, and her music collectively is the best ever. My friend happens to be the mayor of Vancouver, and we're going to talk about in a future episode, we're going to talk about masterminding. My friend Ken Sim is his name. Ken Sim is in my mastermind, and one of his aspirations was to become mayor, and he's become mayor of a major city, Vancouver. He has the mayor's suite at the concert. He said, I can invite some friends. You got, you know, pay your own way and tickets and stuff, but he's like, you can sit with me. You take a place. So we have an amazing seat, and some celebrities may be— Maybe joining you. Coming through or not, we don't know. And maybe, maybe, maybe a long shot, I can brush elbows with Taylor Swift for a second.
