Immutable laws are core values that guide every business decision, from hiring to design. One company treats money as sacred to enforce frugality; another bans toxic people entirely. Applied consistently, they build a culture where new hires instantly understand what the company stands for.
Okay, so in the pumpkin plan, you talk about immutable laws. What are immutable laws?
Good question. So immutable laws are the values or the rules that the organization holds fast. In fact, it emanates from the owner themselves. So you, you just look at your own values and say, what are the things that I absolutely stand for? Conversely, what are the things that I don't stand for? And that defines kind of rules that you live by. As an example here we have a rule called blood money. And why we don't use that term often. It set a cultural standard that as a company, we're relatively frugal. We treat it as a very valuable asset. We treat it like blood. We have another one called no dicks, a lattice, most popular one among colleagues here. But the rule here is we will not do business with dicks, but nor will we behave like dicks. Right. It's not acceptable either way. And then those immutable laws, those values in any element of your business, use those to filter in and filter out anything you're considering. The website, is it a site that represents our brand? Does it represent the importance of frugality? Is it another one I call positivity or death? Is it positively oriented? Is it a non dinkish website? Does it show humility? Right. When we're hiring employees, we look for those exact same values. And I think it speaks for itself. It serves us extremely well. We have a culture here. We develop of people that I just. I can't believe I get the opportunity to work with. And we built a strong company because when people come in here, they're instantly up to speed. They get it. They know how to represent us because we are them, they are us. So it's just the ultimate filter for not just employees, not just website design, any element of your business.
