Sauna Therapy: Traditional, Infrared, Near Infrared

In this video Eva Vennari, owner of the Elevate Institute and maker of Practitioner's Choice Near‑Infrared Sauna panels, explains why practitioners recommend sauna therapy and walks viewers through the three main sauna modalities—traditional (wet or dry), infrared, and near‑infrared. She compares construction, temperature ranges, and electromagnetic field (EMF) considerations, then focuses on the unique design and operation of her near‑infrared panels. Vennari details how each sauna type supports detoxification, skin health, mood, exercise recovery, digestion, fever/hyperthermia therapy, and as an adjunct to cancer treatment. She offers practical usage guidelines (session length, frequency, timing), shares a personal anecdote about chronic itching resolved through daily near‑infrared sessions, and stresses safety supervision. The presentation concludes with a brief product promotion, directing viewers to the Elevate Institute shop for customizable near‑infrared sauna models.

So your practitioner has recommended you use a sauna. Now the search is on. Where do I get them? How much do they cost? What are they made of? Why do I need them? What are the benefits of the different kinds? How do they work? We're going to go into many of those questions today. My name is Eva Vennari. I'm the owner of the Elevate Institute and the manufacturer of the Practitioner's Choice Sauna Near-Infrared Panels. I've been making saunas now for about 8 years. They've been shipped all over the world. Many people are using them and adding them to their nutritional balancing programs to help get rid of toxins. So that's not the only reason why you want to use a sauna. So traditionally, people know about the saunas that you find in the spas and at the clubs, health clubs, and you walk in and you almost can't breathe because it is so hot. They can get up to 180 degrees. They can be both wet, steamy, or dry. Either one is useful to help you sweat, and the whole point of sweating is to sweat while you're at rest. When you're at rest, you actually are getting rid of toxins, chemicals, and any other things that are stuck in the skin that can be kicked out with sweating. Now, I get a lot of people that say, well, Eva, I sweat when I work out. What's the difference? When you're working out, you're putting your body into a fight or flight. This is when the body needs to spend its energy working. You know, you're creating adrenaline, you're getting exercise, and muscle is being pumped by the blood. So these— this is a whole different state of the nervous system. When we are relaxed, this is when the body heals. It's when it goes into the rejuvenation process. You can do that both during sleep, and it gets hyperactive during a sauna therapy. So great way to just sweat. But if you want to do more than sweat and you want to get out other things, chemicals, old drugs, or if you want to start clearing out viruses or bacterias or even go into some deeper healings with the body, you can do that with both infrared and near-infrared saunas. The infrared sauna, I'm sure you've seen, this is the cedar, room. They generally come $4,000 to $10,000, and you can buy them where they have seats all around for several people, and they have the white or the black panels. The panels are about yay high, and they're mixed into the seat behind you. I'll show pictures down below so you can see what they look like. And this is a box that is lined with wires and It can have an electromagnetic field that your body now has to deal with while you are in that sauna. So you get deeper penetration of the infrared therapy and it's going into the body and creating greater circulation. And we'll go over all the benefits for, for the infrared and the near-infrared. But if you want to avoid the EMFs and have a lower temperature, because the regular infrared sauna Goes up to about 138 to 142 depending on who sets it for you or you set it. And you don't have to be, you have to be in it a little bit longer than you do with a regular near-infrared sauna. So near-infrared sauna, these are the ones that I make and they're very simple to make, but a lot of people don't have the tools or the time to make it or the energy or the know-how of working with wood and they don't want to have to deal with is this wood, sourced locally, is it without pesticides, I don't want to finish it, what products do I use, how do I put wires together, I don't understand how to do it, the switch. All of those things I take care of for you. And the thing about a near-infrared sauna is it's more than just getting rid of toxins, okay? So you then become the rotisserie chicken, whereas the other 2 saunas, You have to. You're just sitting in the room and it's hot and you're sweating, right? With a near-infrared sauna panel, and I'll have pictures of that below, you are sitting about 12 to 18 inches away from the front face of these lights. And just like any other sauna, you're not wearing clothes. You don't wanna wear them because that will, of course, impede the ability for the light to penetrate into the body, into the skin. And it really deeply penetrates up to 3 inches. Wow. And when the light penetrates, it is shunting the blood from the center of the body in a way that's different than the other 2 saunas can do. And it can help circulate that, that blood and bring it right to the surface of the skin. So it's now activating the capillaries of the skin along with the light therapy. So your skin is going to get warm. It's going to get very hot right at the front, and the space around you only needs to be about 115 to 120 degrees. So you could practically use this on a hot day outside if you're brave. So the idea is you want to have a low temperature but hot enough for you to raise the internal temperature of the body just a little bit in the same way as the other ones do. It's easier to breathe in, it's easier to use. And so while you're sitting in front of those lights and your skin gets hot, now you just turn 90 degrees. Now you get it along the side, and when that gets hot, you turn again. So maybe every 2.5 to 5 minutes, you decide, and you just keep turning around and around and around. And you do that throughout the session for 20 minutes. Now you can use a near-infrared sauna once a month if you just enjoy having sauna therapy. If you want to use it to detox, however, or any other kind of modality that helps the body in general, you want to use it at least once a week. When I recommend using a near-infrared sauna for new clients, I recommend 3 times a week, 20 minutes at a shot. And this helps a number of things. So it's skin rejuvenation. This helps, I said earlier, activates the skin. It'll make it softer. This helps get rid of any copper or any other chemicals that are in the skin. And oftentimes if you have itchy skin or eczema or something going on, this clears up acne. It's a wonderful resource for getting rid of acne. I remember my daughter, she had Yeah. She had a series of breakouts on her back and just using the sauna for a short while helped clear that up. And that was one of the things that helped clear it up. But yeah, skin therapy is excellent for that. It's also a mood enhancer. So with the lights, you're getting the red, the yellow, and the orange light rays out of the near-infrared lights, and this helps lift your mood. The lights also have energy coming at you, so rather than stealing energy from you like the sun would. It's depositing the energy into the body. Okay, it helps enhancing the sweat. Of course, you know, it's going to create more opportunity for the body to get rid of, safely eliminate all the heavy metals and the toxic chemicals that we talked about. Lots of medical studies talk about that. They demonstrate that most toxins can be eliminated through the skin. I know for me, my personal story was I was itchy. I had itchy skin my whole life. I I do not have a family picture from childhood where I was not scratching my skin in the picture. And I remember my mom telling me all the time, you've got to stop your scratching so we can take a picture. I just wanted to stop scratching, period. But it was excessive, it was bad. I would wake up with sometimes skin and blood under my nails in the morning because I was just scratching. I was constantly itching and allergic to grass and all sorts of things. And what I decided to do when I started the nutritional balancing program Was I had one unit built for me and I used it twice a day. I was— I jumped right in. I went to the deep end and I used it for 20 minutes in the morning when I first woke up and 20 minutes at night before I went to bed. And those are your 2 options for the best times to use a near-infrared sauna, whereas the other 2, not necessarily so. But why not tie into your body's natural detox cycle? You're already starting to go into the detox cycle early in the morning when you wake up. You're still relaxed, you're still in that state of not fight or flight, not thinking about what you have to do yet for the day. So why not get into the sauna and receive energy, detox, and pick out the last of the stuff that your body's trying to get rid of early in the morning? And that's what I did. And after 3 months of doing that daily— yes, daily, uh, once in the morning and once at night— I started a healing reaction where my body started to take out all this copper and who knows what else from my skin. And I had the worst itching period of my life, and that lasted 3 months. I'm not trying to scare you, it's just this is what happened to me, and it's rare. I'm the only person that I know that I've had get on the sauna therapy that had this kind of reaction, but I had itchings my whole life, right? So that itching Picked up again for 3 months and I continued on the sauna and I picked up the time from 20 minutes to 40 minutes. And then after 3 months later, I woke up one morning and the itching was completely gone and I no longer had the issue. So that's one of the ways that it can help. The other one is exercise benefits, right? So it can help to increase the amount of blood flow going to your muscles and the muscle tissue can then Heal much more quickly after a workout, and that's important for those who are wanting to keep their muscle tone. I think that's everybody. Everybody should want to keep their muscle tone, right? We stop being able to keep our muscle tone by default by the time we're 30, and we need to work out. We need to work those muscles, and if you don't, you can atrophy, and then nothing's holding up your bone structure. So they're all related. You want to be able to Quickly, easily soothe the pain. Yes, the near-infrared sauna can help with muscle pain as well. All right, digestion. So as you are pointing the lights, they're going into your abdominal area. So it's between your chin and groin area where the lights are. We don't want to really put it on the face so much. You can do that for acute situations. I'm not going to talk about that here today, like a cold or something. But when we're talking about just detoxing the body, where do most of the toxins live? in the organs and the center cavities of the body itself. So that's useful in getting rid of the toxins that are stored in the center of the body. It also helps with fever therapy, hyperthermia, infections. We talked about that acutely, so we'll talk more about that in a different video just for those going through healing reactions. Tumors, radiation poisoning, and mutated cells. So, so cells, sorry. You want to think about this. We all have the same amount of cancer cells that our mother had. They're passed to us. It's a physical biological thing that happens. We can't get away from it. I'm not talking about tumors. I'm talking about cancer cells. So cancer cells, as they are floating around in the body, what do you do with them? You know, you want your regular white blood cells, they will spend time making sure that they They are in check, but as soon as your immune system is busy dealing with something bigger like mono, or you might come down with pneumonia or some other big issue, guess what? If your immune system is low and busy, those cancer cells may form in weaker areas of the body where you are collecting either nutritional imbalances, or where you might have parasites, or you might have old injuries, where you might have anything that makes you less than you were when you were perfect. Or when you're ideal. Okay, that's a space where typically a cancer cluster will start, and then by the time the immune system comes back to that area, the cancer cluster has already put that protective lining around it saying, oh no, we're supposed to be here, and the immune system doesn't touch it. Well, there are a couple of ways, and of course this is very controversial, which way do you go? Regular Western medicine? Do I have it cut out? Do I have it put So all these different options, as long as you are not going through chemotherapy, you can use detox therapy such as a near-infrared sauna to help kill and reduce the cancer cells, improve your overall immune system that can help, of course, fight those cancer cells internally as well. So after about 20 minutes of sitting in the sauna, your body starts to activate these cancer-eating proteins, if you will. And they will go around and start to eat up all those loosely bound cancer cells. So tumors, they do not tolerate heat very well, all right? We're raising the body temperature, it hastens their death, you know, so that the cells will die off quicker. Though it's not a conventional method, you know, hypothermia is a well-researched therapy for cancer. I don't know if you've tried that or not, but— Heat also disables and kills the mutated cells by radiation or the damaged ones by other toxins. So that's something to keep in mind. You can definitely get a leg up on traditional therapy, again, as long as you're not going through a chemotherapy program, because chemotherapy is poison that is meant to kill the cancer cells that are weaker than the rest of your body, and they traditionally That chemotherapy practice does weaken the immune system. It goes hand in hand. So I would recommend that once you get to a place where you are either in remission or in a place where your body is ready to be rebuilt, get on a nutritional balancing program to help rebuild your immune system and kill off any other loosely bound cancer cells that could be floating around in the body, okay? So these are the things that you want to remember about the near-infrared sauna. I just touched on a few things. There's— there are plenty of books that will talk about all of the different ways that a near-infrared sauna can help oxygenating. We talked about the mood enhancement, but wouldn't that be great if this could be part of a natural cancer resource? A cancer— not cure, I can't say cure, but I can say it can definitely help boost the body in supporting a person who's going through some sort of cancer treatment. And you always want to supervise or be supervised by someone while using sauna therapy. I recommend getting someone either like myself, another nutritional counseling practitioner who deals specifically with sauna therapy, to make sure that you are using the sauna properly, that you don't overuse it. There's a number of times even with the people in my own clientele that call me and tell me what they're doing and I have to correct things. So make sure you're being supervised. Make sure that if you get too hot, you get out. If you start sweating, you get out. If you want more information about how you can take a sauna and convert a current shower or a small closet space into a sauna, I know how to do that. I'm very creative and I can help you. So reach out to us. You can come to theelevateinstitute.com/shop and find the 2 different models that I have. I have a 3-light and a 4-light sauna. They can hang both vertically and horizontally. They fit in most spaces and they'll help you figure out which one's best for you. So again, this is Eva Vennari, owner of the Elevate Institute, manufacturer of the Practitioner's Choice Sauna. And I encourage you, if even if you don't have— if you don't think you have a lot of toxins or things, this can really help to get your body to circulate the blood and increase your immune system, a number of things. Oh, human growth hormone. That's a big one. Right, so it can help in healing. All right, I hope you enjoyed this video.
