Is not coming for your job, it's coming for your to do list. And today, I'm going to break down the most confusing AI terms in plain English. So by the end of this broadcast, you'll not only understand them, you know exactly how they can help your business tomorrow morning. So let's start with the big one. AI. People say it's like magic. AI is simply a computer system that can do tasks we usually need humans for, like understanding language or making decisions. Think of it as your digital intern that never gets tired, never takes a break and works 24 7. If you could give one task to an assistant like that today, what would it be? Machine learning. This is the engine under the hood. Machine learning is when AI improves by learning from data. It gets better over time without you having to reprogram it like your email spam filter. The more junk it sees, the better it gets at blocking it. Have you ever noticed your phone's autocorrect learning your favorite term phrases? This is machine learning. The next one is neural network. This is the AI's brain. It's a way of processing information inspired by how our brains work by spotting patterns and connections. That's how Netflix knows what you want to watch even before you do. Have you ever had Netflix suggest something and you thought, how did they know that? The next one is Natural Language Processing or nlp. This is how the AI understands and talks to us. It's the tech that allows AI to make sense of human language and respond. Like when you ask Siri or Alexa a question and you get a clear answer, I challenge you to drop in the comment the funniest thing your voice assistant has ever misunderstood. The next one is Large Language Models or LLM. Here's where it gets interesting. An LLM is an AI trained on mountains of text so it can generate responses that that sound human. ChatGPT is a prime example. Like talking to someone who has read every book, every article, and every website. Have you ever tried asking ChatGPT something just for fun? Curious. What was it? The next one is generative AI. This is AI with a creative streak. It makes brand new content like text, images, even music. Instead of just analyzing data. If you type in Robot Chef making pizza, AI will draw it instantly. It creates something that's never been done before, but it can understand what you're asking it to do. What's one thing you wish AI could create for your business? The next one is prompt. This is your commands to AI. It's the question or instructions you give to get a Response like asking Write me an Instagram post about our Friday special. If you had 10 seconds with an AI, what would you ask it to do? The next one is prompt engineering. This is the secret to getting great results. It's about crafting prompts that give AI exactly what you want. Instead of writing write a blog post, you say write a 600 word blog post with a friendly tone about five ways to save energy at home. Have you ever gotten totally useless AI answers? That's usually because of a bad prompt. The next one is fine tuning. This is how you make your AI yours. It's customizing AI with your own data so it understands your style, your tone and your business. Like training a new employee using your past successful ads and campaigns. I mean, if AI could talk exactly like your brand, what would it sound like? That's what fine tuning allows you to do. The next one is API. That stands for Application Programming Interface. This is the connector cable for your software. It's how different programs talk to each other. And it's like connecting your booking software to your AI chatbot so customers can book instantly on chat. If all your systems talk to each other, what time would that save you? Automation. This is how you win back your time. Automation is when tasks run themselves without you lifting a finger. Like automatically sending follow up emails to customers who haven't booked in six months. What's one repetitive task you'd love to never do again, but it gets done successfully? The next one is training data. This is AI's education. It's the information AI learns from to do its job. If you want AI to help you sell better, you should give it your past sales data to study. What's one piece of information you wish AI knew about your business? Here's the one we hear about all the time. Hallucination. This is when AI gets it wrong but sounds right. It's when AI confidently makes up false information. Like recommending restaurants in your town that don't actually exist. What's the weirdest wrong answer you've ever gotten from AI? Let's talk about chatbot. This is AI's customer service rep. It talks with customers via text or chat windows. Answering questions, taking orders, booking appointments instantly, anytime. Would you trust a chatbot to handle your customers if it was trained on all your information and told to act in the highest personal way, professionally, calmly and always kind of. The next one is Voice Agent. This is AI on the phone. It handles calls and human sounding voice like a plumbing company. AI answers the calls, schedules jobs and sends reminders. Would you rather call a human or friendly AI that gets you books faster. Now you've got the language. And here's the thing. Understanding the words is the first step. But using them in your business, that's where the magic happens. If you want to see exactly how to make AI work faster for you without wasting time or money, reach out and I'll walk you through it. You don't have to become a tech expert. You just need to know the right person to guide you.
