How is Ai Entering Into Your Industry? Are you ready?

Jeff Harrison walks through how his agency uses AI to automate content creation, image generation, and publishing at scale. He demos Napkin.ai, Make, HeyGen, and ChatGPT audio, then challenges peers to either share how they're using AI or admit they're falling behind competitors who are.

Every industry seems to be kind of scrambling right now to find out how to use or should they use AI in their business. And it's causing some stir. And really the one common thread I hear is we're not going to lose our job to AI, we're going to lose our jobs to someone who knows how to use AI. Hi, my name is Jeff Harrison and I just want to jump on here today, kind of impromptu and I want to share some things with you that I just finished a one hour presentation from someone teaching an industry specific portion on how to use AI in their industry. And I found it very interesting because I guess as someone in the digital marketing space I kind of thought, well, geez, probably, you know, probably everybody's using AI to some extent and surprising how it's not. And this is just one industry. So you know, if you're watching this live or you're watching it at another time, I'd be curious to find out, hey, are you using AI in your industry? Are you an anomaly or is it pretty common? And more importantly, how are you using it? I'll give you an example. For me at Swingpoint Media, when it first came out, before I was even aware of it, there were products like Rewriter and Jasper and we were using all of that and it was not mainstream and it was, you know, the content was okay, it took a lot of massaging. It was about, you know, 20% AI and about 80% human and it worked okay. It still saved us some time, but it has now evolved to the point where now it's probably 95.5. So what's changed? Well, obviously the models have changed within the large language models like ChatGPT or Copilot or not Copilot, but Gemini and whatnot, Claude Grok, all that's improved. But the other things has changed is how we ask questions. Now how we ask questions is, is kind of underneath that, that umbrella of prompting. And yes, our prompts have gotten so much better. But also as the.
I guess the models have improved, they work better with conversational and. But there's still some structure around that. I don't want to get too deep into that. But the point is I start to this, watching this and attending this program today made me stop and think, wow, what other industries out there need help understanding how to use this? Because as I say, as a digital marketing company, we're using it already to create the content. Now when I say we're a digital marketing company, we create organic content that then is posted on like a website.
Video on blogs or excuse me, on like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Google business profile, maybe even on, on Reddit, that type of thing. And it helps get content out in the marketplace where your ideal customer or our clients ideal customers might be searching for answers. Now, we don't just make any type of content. We make content that is really there to help solve problems for their ideal customers. So it's really content that is valuable and helps connect the two. It's a little bit of a dating game, if you will. But what we did is, as I mentioned, we started using artificial intelligence to the point where now we have built an automation workflow that actually every week creates all this content for us. And then it allows us, As I said, 95.5 to go back and say, hey, how is this content? Is it correct? Does it sound like a human said it? Is it answering the question properly? Is it giving proper links to resources or is it going to a broken link or is it's a page just, you know, doesn't exist? It just made this stuff up. So we're starting to see this, that we've used it extensively in our business. And the other thing we see, as we start putting this content out, we can do it more scale because we can write it quicker. And also we're starting to see the returns for people using AI in their, in their marketing better because of one big thing. We're starting to now do deeper research into each one of our clients and their ideal customers and what kind of things are doing now. I'm not just talking about, hey, it's a male or female, they're this age and this many kids. I'm talking about the psychographics as well. Like, you know, what is it that my ideal customers are concerned about? Why are they taking these actions? What is the messaging that might be there? These are the things that, quite frankly, I heard something today. I watched a program today and it said we would do this for customers, but that that particular deep research program would cost around 10 to $15,000 and take about 80 hours worth of research to get this done. Well, now it doesn't take nearly that much time or nearly that much money. And the research that it returns, the data that returns is phenomenal. And then from that same conversation, you know, we're able to ask it, okay, how would we start creating content for this client with knowing this information? And it truly is phenomenal. So I'm just curious, how are you using, or are you using AI in your marketing? Is there anyone in your industry that's specifically Saying, hey, you are a, an H Vac company. And instead of, instead of, you know, kind of going out there and winging on your own, is there someone actually teaching, hey, this is how we'd use AI in your industry. And here, and here's the process. Now I want to take a second back and step back and say, there have been designated tools to help all of us do our work better. I'll give you a perfect example. Let's say this was the example that was given. DocuSign. We all know what DocuSign is. It's a way to say, hey, I can transmit a document that used to be reams of paper. I can do this electronically and I can send it over and it's secure to a particular person. They can sign it electronically, send it back, and we can move on with our transaction. I'm going to say, that's a very dedicated. It can only do one thing. That's all it can do. But when we think about artificial intelligence, I look at it like water. You know, I remember as a kid I used to be into karate big time. And Bruce Lee was the guy back then, and he said, you know, when you're in combat, you want to take on the role of water. And what that meant is water can take on any shape it needs to be. Well, I think that's what AI is becoming. It's allowing us to take on any form. As I said, we've created an automated workflow that does all that we needed to do. We didn't have to go out and say, hey, let's sign up for a $3,000 a month program. We said, why don't we just build it? That's what I said. I said, why don't I just build this and it will make the content I want. Another example of this is we were using another tool to help publish our content. And I asked, hey, why don't we just, why can't we just build this? So we put together the tools using what we call a no code tool builder, using a product called make, and we created content, we created this piece. And now what happens is all the information that is created, the blogs, the video, the social media post, the email, all of that is created within that workflow. And then it gets to this next section and then it, it will send it to that particular client's Facebook page, website, their Google business profile, their Instagram, their LinkedIn, it'll send all that out there automatically. So it really has changed what we do. We're no longer having to say I need to go find a SAS tool to help me do X, Y and Z. No, I can just say, why don't I just build it? So I want to give you an example.
Here is an example. I apologize for the noise outside. They're doing some construction and actually the landscapers are here. But I want to show you something. This is my website, swingpoint Media website. And here's an example of a blog. And I thought this was pretty slick. And I have to give credit because gentlemen who shared this this morning in the webinar demonstrated this. But this is an example. Let's say, for instance, if you have AI write you an article, right? And let's just imagine there's no images in there. It's just a wall of text. And so what you do is you copy this and you could put it into a product. It's called Napkin, Napkin, N, A, P, K I, N dot AI. And you can sign up for it. And then what you'll do is you'll take a piece of that. And what I did is I took a piece of my article and I just dropped it in here, right? And so what I did is I dropped it in using storyoffer proof framework. And then if I want to say, well, you know what, I. I want to create an image for this area. So I'd highlight it and then I'd hit this button. And now I would do is go through and think, okay, what can I make with this? And all of a sudden it gives me several images that is made that could fit into this spot to help my message be clear. Now, it doesn't stop right there, because this is the cool part, is now I have several different styles within each image it creates. I can go back. So let's say I really like this one, but I'd like it with more color. Oh, geez, here's one. Here's one more color. And now it sets it in there. And if I like that, then what I can do is I can simply download it and I can export it as a PNG file, and then I'll just put it into my article. Well, imagine being able to do this now at scale. What we would do before is, yes, we use artificial intelligence to make a lot of our images now. But before we would go into products like canva, I had graphic artists. And I'd say, you know, this is what we think would fit in there. Well, this allows me now to create something like this. This again will fulfill the goal of AI, which is to allow us to get more of our time back that would have taken maybe several hours. So this is just an example of using a product again called Napkin AI. This is something, it's free. There's nothing to sell here. I'm just showing you that this is a product I saw today and you can use this at any industry. So again, if I went over here to this one, to my website and I grabbed, let's just use a different blog.
And I said case studies for AR marketing lessons. And let's say, for instance, I had this wall of text here.
Get it all.
And I say, I'd like to take this.
And I want to put it, I want to create a new, what they call it a new napkin.
And I'm going to go to a blank one and I'm going to paste that in there. And then again, I could go to each section or I can say, you know what, let's do the whole thing.
And hit this little.
Lightning bolt. And you know, literally within seconds, it's creating some things for me to put in there.
And it allows me again to add some life, if you will, to my text. Why is this important? Well, at the end of the day, we would rather, we would, would rather watch a video over text. We would rather look at images over text. But we'll w. We'll read more text if there are images in the document and it helps us visualize what we might have just said, which may have been somewhat complicated, especially if someone is just learning about what you're doing. Well, now they're saying, oh, I see this. Data, data analysis, automation, personalization, strategic focus. And now you can just drop that information in there. So my goal today was just to jump on here because I was excited about this and I wanted to ask that question primarily, hey, are you using AI in your industry? If you are, what kind of tools are you using? What, what are, I mean, are using like chat, GPT, are using Gemini, Are you using Brock? Are you using what are you using Perplexity, whatever, and let me know what you, what you're doing. The other part is how are you using it? Is there anyone in your industry that's absolutely teaching you this? The reason I asked that question, it's a little selfish because I saw this, this gentleman teaching today and I love teaching. I've been speaking, I've been a speaker for a long time and I would, I thought, wow, this would be a lot of fun to help other people understand how powerful this tool is, this artificial intelligence. This is, I saw this today and I forget who quoted this, but it was someone we all know. It's almost like a Bill Gates type of thing. It says AI is going to be more powerful than the, than electricity, fire, and the Internet. And I thought, wow, that's amazing, because that's a pretty powerful statement. But I see it happen every day. I'm kind of in that mode every day, talking about artificial intelligence or using the artificial intelligence and pushing the envelope. And it's been a lot of fun. And of course, there are things that we've done that didn't turn out so well, because that was the worst it's going to be. I'll give you an example. Last week I created.
An avatar to be my sidekick in my podcast called the Local Voice. And so what I did is I turned on my, my chatgpt, I did the audio version and we had a conversation. And I don't know if you've ever tried that before, but if you go to ChatGPT and down at the bottom, you hit audio, you can have a conversation and it will respond to you. It will talk right back to you, and you can give it the voice and the tonality that you want. But then what we did is we did a kind of a situation like this, except they were asking questions, I was answering questions, and they would do follow up. It was really slick. It was just like as if I were talking to someone who was an interviewer. And then I took that and I attached it to an avatar in, in a product called hey Gen H E Y G E N. And when I put the, put the script in there, they read it. And then I added that to my video. And so it was a video podcast where it looked like a real person was asking me questions and interacting with me in real time. It was pretty slick. These are things we can do now. Some people might look at it and say, yeah, I can still tell that's a robot, or I can still tell that that's not a real person. But this is what I say. This is cutting edge. This is the worst it's going to be. And perfect example of this, and then I'm out of here is VO3 that Google just announced. I mean, that stuff is amazing. That's text to video. What I'm talking about is just where someone puts in a, in a, in a prompt of saying, hey, they'd like to see three men in a boat pulling a skier on a lake, and there's mountains with snow caps in the distance. And all of a sudden it'll take that particular prompt and turn it into a video. And this video is really, really good. So far I haven't seen anything with people with too many fingers or not enough toes or they have extra extremities. It's all been pretty exciting. So anyway, I could keep talking further, but I'm not going to. I'm going to shut it down now. I just want to say I want to pop in and just share this with you today. I'd love it. If you see this afterwards and you have a comment, please put it in the comments. I'd love to hear what your thoughts are. The questions were hey, are you using AI? Is there anyone in your industry specifically teaching you how to use AI and leverage it for your industry? If not, let me know. I'd love to say maybe I can help you because as we say, this water will adapt to whatever is put into and so AI is AI. There are certain things you can do in your industry that will help you do two things that AI is that we want to do. Save us time and improve our efficiency. Save us time, improve our efficiency. Thanks for joining me today. I appreciate it. My name is Jeff Harrison. I own a company called Swing Point Media. As I say, we're a digital marketing agency. We help local businesses that are three to five years away from retirement and the business owner is saying, hey, what can I do to improve the value of my business? Part of it is, is if you don't have a digital footprint, you don't have content. In other words, if I go online and I can't find you very easily, you're on page, you know, three or four of Google Search, then I can help you and this improves the value of your company at time of sale. Hey, thank you again. Have a great day.
