In this YouTube segment, Jeff from Jeff For Local Marketing walks viewers through a hands‑on demo of producing an AI‑generated video featuring a talking dog mascot named Cosmo for a local golf business. He explains how he starts with a static dog image, crafts a detailed prompt in ChatGPT that describes the scene and desired voice, and feeds it into HeyGen to generate the video. Jeff highlights the challenge of finding a youthful, child‑like voice, noting that mainstream synthesizers like ElevenLabs lack such options, and shows how HeyGen’s custom voice designer can create a suitable tone. He plays back two versions—one with a standard voice and another with a custom youthful voice—demonstrating the audible difference. Jeff also mentions additional editing steps before client approval, emphasizing that the workflow, once complex and requiring technical expertise, is now accessible to marketers without deep tech skills.

Now I say it's easy, but just literally 2 weeks ago, it was virtually impossible. It was pretty difficult to do that. You had to really be a tech wizard, which I'm not, to put this together, although some of my close friends would call me a geek. But the cool thing about it is you can set these up to have many different things, and I'm just going to show you a couple things that we've done. Uh, let's go back to this and I'll give you an example. We just created a video for a client and the video was designed, said, hey, can you make my dog talk and be the, the, I guess, the, the face, if you will, of my business? I said, yeah, give it a shot. Let me have it. So I basically took that, that image of that dog and I created this video, and I'll let you see it here real quick. I've done some additional editing before we put it out, and it hasn't been approved yet, so don't tell anybody I'm showing this. But basically, this is, this is how it turned out.
Hey, it's Cosmo, and I just turned 1, and guess what my brother-in-law Chuck got me for my birthday? A brand new set of golf clubs. Yeah, apparently it's time I start taking my game seriously. Good thing I've got the best place to practice right here at Back Nine Rancho Mirage. You should come check it out. And when you do, make sure you say hi to me. I'll be the one working on my short game. Hey, it's Cosmo.
Now, this was all done by this prompt that I have over here, and I basically created the prompt, told about the scene, I added some ideas in there, and then asked it to make this video, and this is what it came up with. Now, this isn't the final version. I actually have another version, which is kind of fun because it was a challenge because the business owner said, hey, you know what, this is a, this is a dog that's turning 1. We want to have more of a youthful voice. And, you know, a lot of things, this is kind of an edge case where most of the voice synthesizers like ElevenLabs, which is the leader in the market in my opinion, that we've used for years, it doesn't really have youthful or children's voices on there. So it's one of those things I said, well, what if I could design the voice? So within HeyGen, you can actually go in there and design the voice. And so we said, hey, we want to be very youthful. So this is the, this is the version with the youthful voice, just to hear what you— and again, keep this in mind, this is just me having some ideas. Let's put together prompts, let's put it in there. And let's see what it comes up with. Here's the difference.
Hey, it's Cosmo and I just turned 1. And guess what my brother-in-law Chuck got me for my birthday?
So can you hear the difference in that voice? So basically what I did is I went into ChatGPT and I said, hey, this is what we're trying to achieve. Write the voice prompt for HeyGen
