A brief transcript excerpt of CJ Stroud describing his leadership philosophy as a quarterback: lead by example and be vocal, draw leadership experience from Ohio State where the quarterback holds a prominent leadership role, adapt to new coaches/schemes (mentioning Coach Ryan), believe performance must be earned (no limits set), and express gratitude/faith (says outcomes are ordained by God).

Honestly, first and foremost, I just want to be. If it comes natural to be a leader on the team, I think that's the biggest thing for playing quarterback is to be not only vocal, but lead by example. And that's something that I think I bring to the table very well. Coming from a place like Ohio State, where the quarterback is really other than LeBron, like, you're right under LeBron, so, like, you're kind of. You're the leader of the whole state. So I feel like I got good practice there. But, yeah, I mean, that's kind of the main goal is just to be a great leader, great teammate to, of course, like Coach Ryan said, just adjust, adapt the new scheme to the. To the plays, to new coaching. And I honestly don't have a limit on how good I can play. I don't know what's going to happen. I know nothing is going to be given to me. Everything's going to be earned. And that's just how I like it, how it's been my whole life, and that's how it's going to continue to be. And that's what's going to make me a great, great player. So, yeah, I'm excited just to get started and whatever happens, happens, man. I know it's ordained from God, so I'm blessed to just be in the shoes I am today.
