A short single-speaker monologue (YouTube) about basketball coaching philosophy: contrasts ‘somebody’ jobs (primary scorers who take shots) with ‘everybody’ jobs (effort plays such as defense, rebounding, and energy). The speaker advises young players to value non-scoring contributions to earn playing time and avoid depending on shooting variance.

In this game of basketball there's somebody jobs some guys get to shoot threes, some guys don't, you know and and then there there's everybody jobs everybody has to play with effort and energy. Everybody has to rebound, you know everybody has to you know be attentive on defense. And so you know that that's the message and sometimes you know young players get hung up on you know, you know, whether they're scoring points or not. And obviously this is you know it's a a very offensive centric game you know from a media and a fan perspective. And and you know we we got know that there's another way and the way you get on the court is effort, energy and focus on making those plays and value those plays. Then you don't have to go ride the ebbs and flows of shooting. So that's been my message and hopefully as they mature as players they understand that.
