Trent Dilfer argues that raw talent alone doesn't win. Talent combined with technique, discipline, nuance, and composure outperforms talent without those attributes. He pushes back against the misleading Instagram highlight narrative.

I think the biggest lie right now out there, and it's the Instagram highlight video generation, is that talent wins.
Talent with technique, talent with discipline, talent with great acumen, talent with being able to stay calm in the storm. Yeah. Yes. Obviously talent's gonna win, but a 9? Talent with no technique, no discipline, no nuance to his game. 6. Talent with all the other stuff.
The 6 will kick the nines. You know what?
