In this keynote-style business coaching monologue, Franne McNeal presents her "5 Ps" framework—Planning, Purpose, People, Process, and Performance/Profit—as a roadmap for entrepreneurs to transform frustrated revenue situations into sustainable, scalable businesses. She stresses the importance of designing products and services around a deep understanding of customer wants, pains, and dreams, turning contacts into cash flow through repeat purchases and referrals. Planning involves a clear, customer‑focused business model; purpose aligns the venture with solving a significant client problem; people highlights the need to build a team rather than operate solo; process calls for consistent delivery that reinforces brand reliability; and performance underscores financial discipline, urging entrepreneurs to master cash flow, income statements, and balance sheets to ensure profit and long‑term viability. Throughout, McNeal uses an enthusiastic, conversational tone to motivate listeners to adopt forethought, execution, and persistence, likening the growth journey to nurturing a seed into a sturdy oak.

5 Ps. No, not the kind to eat. 5 Ps: planning, purpose, people, process, and performance. That's what'll help you lift your business, and when you pray, you will do so with gratitude. I'm Franne McNeal, Significant Business Results Coach, and I've worked with many entrepreneurs that are frustrated with where their revenues are and aren't, that are constantly in search of— no, not a date, but a relationship that they can build on. They want to turn contacts into cash flow. They want constant contact And no, it's not email marketing. They want their clients and customers to be in touch with them on a regular basis, sharing their wants, their hopes, their dreams, so that they can create the best possible product and service for that client or customer. It comes down to the 5 Ps. What is your plan? To create a business that isn't about you, that doesn't keep you busy, and truly takes you out of your mind and into the mind of your customer. Ideally, you're solving a problem and addressing a pain, a pain so big that your client Is willing to pay, is willing to buy not once, not twice, at least 3 times, so they're a repeat customer and they make referrals. You've got to start out with that core seed, with that plan. That plan is purposeful because you're in service of the client, not in service With that plan and that purpose, it is easy to build your HR structure, your organization table. That's correct. Being an entrepreneur is not about being a solo entrepreneur. And no disrespect to solo entrepreneurs. I'm just saying, when's the last time you were in a room with 10 other entrepreneurs? That's right. Someone referred to you as a hat rack. I don't think so, which is why you're not supposed to be wearing all those hats. Hint, one head, one hat. So find the people based on what your business needs to be of the best service to your best client. You gotta have a process. You gotta deliver consistently. Whatever your brand is or isn't, you don't want it to be, they don't deliver. And finally, if you're taking your passion and adapting to the preferences of people who purposefully want your product or service, Please bake in the profit because just revenues is not enough. That's right, selling one widget at $1 one time around is not going to make you a business person. Don't scoot away from those financial statements. Those financial statements, income statement, Balance sheet. Yes, the abbreviation is BS, but I'll tell you, it is not BS. It's the balance sheet. It tells you what you own and what you owe, and at the end, your net worth. Cash flow is king, queen, and the ultimate because you need to know that you can pay the bills And that you can pay yourself and that you can meet all the expenses that are necessary. Profit comes with planning, purpose, people, and process. It's not on a wing and a prayer. It is with forethought, planning, and execution. And persistence that your business goes from a seed to a seedling to the oak tree that is remaining in the forest strong and sturdy, scalable and sustainable. You are the entrepreneur that you're about to become. Embrace the 5 Ps and go forth and practice.
