Two people joke about B2B SaaS pricing: companies cycle between seat-based and usage-based models, tack on a platform fee for random features like SSO, then die. It's a funny riff on how vendors package and reprice the same thing over and over.
I'm curious, you know, the extent to which you've developed any type of philosophy or framework for thinking about pricing and packaging in B2B SaaS.
Okay, so my joke was going to be my general philosophy on B2B pricing and packaging is that you will move from seats to usage-based in an infinite loop, and then you will die. Okay. That's the real real. And that you will charge a platform fee. For an arbitrary set of features, and one of those arbitrary sets of features will be SSO. That is true pricing and packaging strategy for B2B. Very niche joke, but I think this is the audience for it.
