How Small Teams Monetize Quickly with Schematic

Ryan from Schematic shows how the platform helps small teams monetize quickly. It syncs billing data automatically with Stripe, works like a feature flag for access control, and includes a ready-made customer portal so users can manage subscriptions without custom engineering.

Hi, I'm Ryan, a developer with Schematic. I talk to a lot of indie developers and small teams, and they always tell me that pricing is the most important thing and they're just not doing it. It seems too hard, they don't know where to start, and so they put it off. What's cool though is every time I show them Schematic, their eyes get wide, they get excited. They realize that this could make that whole pain go away and they can start monetizing their app today. I wanna show you the 3 things that get them most excited and why they love Schematic. Number 1 is Stripe. You're probably already using Stripe or getting ready to use it, and Schematic fully integrates with Stripe. All of the customers and data you already have in there, we pull out, and everything you do in Schematic, we sync back into your Stripe account. If you haven't yet set up Stripe, I highly recommend you check out Theo's rant about how hard Stripe is, and I'll link that in the description. Schematic fully covers all of that, all of the webhooks, all of the integration points, and making sure things stay synced so you don't have to. Second, Schematic is quick and simple to integrate into your product. The core interface looks like a feature flag check, where, where Schematic handles the hard part of tracking usage and determining if the user's on the right plan and provides you a simple Boolean to determine whether or not a user can take a specific action. Additionally, if you want to do usage-based pricing, there's a track event we provide And then Schematic handles all of the work of, of tracking events, processing events, and making sure that quota is updated daily, monthly, or whatever period you want. Third, and maybe most importantly, are components. Out of the box, Schematic provides a number of components, the biggest of which is our customer portal. This allows your customers to check out, change or upgrade their plan, and also see some details about their usage and when their upcoming bills are due. This takes a lot of time and effort off of small teams and allows them to get back to the important work of building their product. And there you have it, the most important 3 ways that Schematic helps small teams monetize faster and spend more time building their product. Thanks.
