The video provides a step‑by‑step walkthrough of the paid College Financial Health (CFH) Dashboard on mycollegeviability.com. It begins with logging in—either via a verification code sent to the registered email or by entering a password—then introduces the main navigation tab and the Dashboard Home. The presenter explains how to add, update, and search for colleges, including selecting up to five colleges for comparison and optionally adding the national median. The tutorial moves through the various indicator sections: student outcomes (including VALS Overview, graduation rates, and graduate earnings), long‑term financial health (endowment per full‑time‑equivalent student, shown inflation‑adjusted to 2025 dollars), and revenue metrics (net tuition revenue per FTE, percent change, and percentile rankings). It demonstrates the indicator search feature, shows how to view definitions and interpret data, and highlights the data‑feedback form for reporting errors or concerns. Throughout, the presenter emphasizes refreshing data after changes and provides visual cues for interpreting the graphs.

Hello, this is an approximately 4 to 5 minute long video, just a demo of how to best use the College Financial Health Dashboard paid version. So if you go to our website, mycollegeviability.com, and you have not logged in yet, you want to go over here to access account, click on that. You should have received an email with your information, or you can utilize the email that you use to pay for your account. And type in that email. And once you type in that email, it's going to give you two options. Number one is it's going to send you a verification code to that email. You can either use that verification code to log in, or you could continue with your password instead. And if you type in your password, go ahead, click continue. It should log you into the system here. Once you're into the system, you're going to see the CFH Dashboard navigation tab show up. If you click on that, that's going to be your main navigation area for your paid College Financial Health dashboard. If you click on Dashboard Home, it's going to take you to the home part of that dashboard. First thing I'd like to highlight is you can update your colleges on any page of this dashboard. So if you click Add or Update Colleges, you'll see your colleges listed here, or if you haven't logged in yet, there's going to be no colleges listed here, but then you can change or update those colleges. So always click on that down arrow. Once all of those colleges show up, you can then start searching for colleges. So you can type in the whole college name to search for that and then kind of select the box associated with the college that you're interested in, or you could just scroll and look for particular colleges to find as well. You can also add or take off the national median for all of our data points for these 1,200+ private colleges. I recommend a maximum of 5 pieces here because then the graphs get very busy if you have more than 5, but you can add as many or as few down to 1 as you'd like. Once you have that, you can go ahead and click update. You will see that these colleges have updated here. It might take a couple seconds to, uh, pull all of that data for those colleges. But once 3 to 5 seconds have passed, you should be able to go down here to your dashboard sections and look at all these different student outcome or college financial health data points and indicators. So if I wanted to learn more about my student financial outcomes and my selected colleges, I can select that area. It's going to take me to that section of the dashboard. You can see all the colleges you selected here. You can add or update them if you'd like, just as you did before. If you do add them on this page, please refresh it after you have added or changed those colleges to make sure the data points refresh. Scrolling down a little bit, you can use these tabs to navigate to different sections. We have VALS Overview, which is a text-based analysis of a couple of these data points, and it will give you a text-based analysis of what is the general return on investment, which is a combination of 10-year net return on investment, and that college's 6-year graduation rate. You can go to the actual data points and analyze those by clicking on these different tabs. Graduated student earnings, you can see all of our colleges along with the national median here, okay? And you can kind of roll your mouse over there to see what they say as well. And if you'd like to learn more, you can click on that indicator info, and it's going to give you a definition, how to interpret that, why it's important, what to kind of consider for limitations, and more. From here, you can either scroll back up to the top, stay in that same area, navigate to different sections of that same dashboard section, or we'd go back to our dashboard home. It's going to take us back to this familiar screen. We can add or update colleges, or we can go to a different section of the dashboard, college long-term financial health. Still have our same colleges here. Again, we've got Val's overview now for long-term financial health. Maybe we want to look at the college endowment and the endowment per FTE. So here we can see that over time, this is inflation adjusted, all shown in 2025 dollars. And if you want to take away a college, you can select that college to only analyze 1 or 2 or 3 or whatever you'd like to do in terms of colleges. Or you can add them back on as well. As you can see here, Alverno is very similar to the national median in terms of endowment per student FTE. Last piece I'd like to highlight here is I'm going to go back to the dashboard home by clicking on this left-hand side here. So you can also search by indicator. So if you'd like to know everything about the revenue of that college, you can search revenue and then see all of the indicators we have that have revenue in the title that are related to revenue. And we can see the definition here. And let's see, I'm really interested in tuition revenue per student FTE percent change. Here's what that means. But then this is gonna take me to that section of the dashboard. Okay, I might need to navigate a little bit here. Net tuition revenue per FTE. Scroll down here. This shows it over time. This shows the relative percentile rankings of the college, and this shows that percent change. So here we can see nationally all private colleges have actually decreased 28% when controlled for inflation, their net tuition revenue per full-time equivalent undergraduate student. We can go back to the dashboard home here, and again, continue to navigate, explore different areas. We can either do that by indicator or we can do that through this dashboard sections here. The last piece, if there are any issues you see with our data or any questions, you can click here, the data feedback form, and you can go ahead and fill out that form and let us know what error you found and, and why you think that's wrong and how to correct that, and we'll review those when you submit them. Thank you.
