Hi, this is Gary Stocker. This is part of our series on using College Navigator, which is a source of data for parents and families looking at colleges, and the data is from the National Center for Education Statistics. In this episode, I'm going to show you how to search for a single school, and I'm going to type in Maryville, which is a college here in the St. Louis area, and hit Enter. And this could bring up all the Maryvilles that are out there. And I would simply select on Maryville University in St. Louis. I'll get to that here, that detail, in just a second. Let's go back and do this again, and this time I'm going to look at all the colleges in Indiana. So I'm going to select Indiana, and I'm going to look at the colleges with bachelor's degrees. I want to get both public and private nonprofit, and I want 4-year degrees. So those are all the colleges in Indiana with bachelor's degree that are both public Private, nonprofit, 4 years. There's the results. And so I can bring up an example, and I'll grab DePaul University and all sorts of data that we'll talk about in a future episode. Let's go back one screen, and I'm going to pick a couple favorites. I'm just going to grab these first 4 because when you grab favorites, you can now compare them. So in a future lesson, we're going to actually compare all 4 of these colleges on how to use the data to be able to see if one is better for you than for others.
