Gary Stocker walks through the College Viability Executive Analysis Tool, which tracks roughly 3,000 colleges across public and private, two-year and four-year institutions. Filter by type and state to see enrollment trends from 2015-2020, average grants, and other metrics color-coded by performance. The full version includes 24 fields for deeper analysis.

This is Gary Stocker from College Viability. This is a brief tutorial of a sample version of the College Viability Executive Analysis Tool. You'll note that we have about 3,000 colleges, and that includes private 2-year, private 4-year, public 2-year, and public 4-year. All the states can be selected here, single states, or Control-click selects more than one state. You can just use the states, or you can also just select colleges within the state. Any combination that you want. Again, the control function, the control-click function is what works here. And then for this sample, you can look at the FTE enrollment, and you can see the data here. We show a change over the 6 years from 2020 to 2015, or from 2015 to 2020, and then a percent change. We've added a conditional color there based on the results from each sample set, just to give users a quick feel for who's doing well and who's doing not so well. Green is good, yellow in the middle, red not so good. You can also look at total enrollment from this sample set, same format that we saw before. You can look at total entering fall undergrads. And one of the interesting fields we've added for this sample set is the average institutional grant. And again, you can see what that has been for each of these 3 colleges in our sample, what the 6-year change has been, the percent change, and the comparison from the full sample set. In addition, we have all report definitions for the fields being used. If you'd like to go over a new set, simply go to the home page. To do another search, simply click on reset search. We'll look at the private 4 years in Florida and again look at each of the fields for available for comparison. You can sort each by clicking on the header And it goes across the board for all of the fields. The full version of the College Viability Executive Analysis Tool is for 24 fields, and information on getting access to that tool is shown in the description below.
