This is a YouTube video titled "Your Co-Founder Shouldn't Be Your Friend | Agentic" containing a multi-speaker discussion about co-founder relationships, conflicts, and dynamics, focusing on how friendships evolve and the importance of unified direction in co-founder partnerships. The speakers reflect on their experiences at Goldman and the pressures of scaling a company. There is no indication that George Bandarian is one of the speakers.
The co founder dynamics is so important and many times there's co founder conflict, there's co founder breakups. So I'd love to just learn and understand a little bit more. What kind of friendship did you guys develop back at Goldman and the type of relationship that you guys have today and how you address small and big conflicts that come up.
I would say our relationship back at Goldman was a shallow one. It was nice, but it wasn't like anything that was super deep at the time. I think going through the cycles of watching a company grow, just the pressures that come along with scaling something, whether it works out or not, can really bring people closer together or cause a lot of infighting.
When it comes to conflicts. We have like really good debates about everything, but be able to take that and kind of move on in a unified direction every time. Most co founder relationships, I feel like break is when there's no unified direction. Without that, you don't have velocity because velocity requires direction, not just speed.
I think personal connectivity and feeling a sense of obligation to the team that you work with is a really critical part of that dynamism.
