Hello, Attitude Nation. It is Glenn Bill at the University of Attitude Checking in on Attitude Awareness month day number 20. It's been so great to be with you for these past 20 days. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Several of you are Texting me and DMing me and emailing me. I love your feedback. I'm. I'm honored that, you know, we may not be changing the world, but if we're changing a handful of people, that handful of people can ripple out and maybe we will change the world. So thank you so much for all the positive comments and feedback. Please feel free to comment below. If you're on Stream Yard, just make sure that you know how to do that. Streamyard.com backslash Facebook for permission. All right, today's attitude is an attitude of integrity. I never want to come off as lecturing to anyone. I hope you don't feel like that. I'm not lecturing. I. I don't plan to claim that I have more integrity than another or more honest than another or any of the other topics that we have, but I do think this word called integrity is something that's always fun to discuss, fun to think about, and certainly fun to put into action, as we do with our attitude Month challenges that I give you every day. So this thing called integrity, when you look at the definition of it, is just simply the quality of being honest, having strong moral principles, and being morally upright. Now, that can sound a bit judgy, and who's to say who's honest and who's upright? But I think what integrity means to me, it's basically where you can align your conduct with what you know to be excellent. You know that there are excellent ways to live, there's excellent ways to eat, there's excellent ways to study, there's excellent ways to pray. And so aligning your conduct to match your perception, I guess, is kind of what I think about when I think about integrity. I'd love to know your definition in the chat below, and I'd love for you to email me or DM me, whatever. But it's so funny, so many of you are out there. I know you're watching because I see our numbers on views, but very, very rarely do I get people that want to jump in and participate. So we would love that a person of high integrity displays a principal dedication to the values and beliefs that they hold. Values and beliefs. Big deal. I don't know what you value, and I don't know what you believe, but I do know that a lot of us value things that Maybe we shouldn't. And we believe things that are not true. And as a part of the challenge to this integrity piece that we're going through today is I'd love you to find a belief that you're holding that is not true and to eliminate it. People of integrity, they always seek to reflect ethical standards. One of the things we do in our real estate businesses, we try to be of the highest ethical standards that are that there are with our buyers and sellers, but most importantly with those other real estate agents that we work with day in and day out. And we always try to do the right thing regardless of the circumstances. So I think you guys maybe know what integrity is. Those are some thoughts on the definitions and how I describe it. I'd love to know how you describe it. And I just want to talk about some quick, quick qualities. How do, how do. When we're interacting with people in our relationships, how do we judge? I guess I hate to say judge, but how do we find integrity in another person? Certainly integrity starts with honesty. Are you a person that can tell when somebody's lying to you right away? I feel like I can. And that means basically telling the truth, being open and not taking advantage of others. There are people, especially in the Internet marketing world, especially on social media, that are preying on people just like me because I, I love buying stuff off social media. Maybe you do too. The quick solutions to happiness, the quick solutions to wealth. Click here to learn more. I love all that stuff. But is are those people people of integrity? I can tell you I've gotten into several programs, paid lots of money to learn several programs, and then in the end just to be let down, which is really a sign of, you know, disrespect for the customer. And respect is the second word that I always like to talk about when we're doing and talking about integrity. I love the concept of are you able to generate trust? You know, we talked about generating trust and the ways to create trust in relationships. If not, go on back. Check out that, that attitude workout, I guess, is what I call these. But are you a person that's able to generate trust and generate trust quickly? Certainly people of integrity, because of their honest, open nature, tend to do that. There are certainly people of pride that take pride in what they say. If I tell you I'm going to do something, that's one of the easiest ways to know if you're a person of integrity. I do what I say I'm going to do all the time. Do you? That's the question and do you 100% of the time it's about what, Keeping my promises. Right. Are you keeping promises to the people in your life that need you to keep your promises? But mostly, are you keeping promises to yourself? I always find that people of high integrity are really about putting others first. I hope that I'm working on my integrity because I do this right, not just to be on Facebook, but because I have a mission to create the a better world, one attitude at a time. We are about helping others. We are signing attitude ambassadors up one in every state. I'm looking for 50 people to help me carry this mission nationwide. And that's going to be fun. We're going to have 50 exceptional people who are helping others, that are committed to helping others. And tomorrow we're going to have a guest on from Habitat for Humanity which talks about how they help others. A few other things that I find of people integrity. They really value other people's time. They're not time wasters. And I always try to make sure that I'm direct to the point and not wasting everybody else's time. Time. How about this? Do you give credit where credit is due, or do you take the credit maybe when you shouldn't? Boy, that's easy to do. Somebody does something great, you go, oh, man, I think I can take credit for this. Have I done it? Sure. Absolutely, I have. But, boy, we try not to. I find that people of integrity are extremely authentic. And I hope that you become your authentic self. I can promise you this. I believe that whoever God made you to be, there is nobody better. So stop trying to be somebody else and be your authentic self. And know that I love and appreciate anybody that's authentic. And I always like to talk about people that argue over disagreements. You know what? It's okay. We can agree to disagree, but why argue about it? And I just think people of integrity are not argumentative. As a matter of fact, they actually give people the benefit of the doubt. Are you a person that gives somebody people benefit of the doubts? Here's my challenge for you. Let's give somebody a benefit of the doubt today and move on. And the bottom line is, is, you know what? It's. I don't know, there's an introspection. I think that people with integrity, they know when something's bothering someone. When you're communicating with people you love, that you're in relationships with, you know, when they're bothered, you can tap into that. And that has that empathy factor that we talked about just the other day. So I'm going to leave you with three quotes. The one from C.S. lewis. Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching. You know, I'm on Facebook Live. Everybody's watching. But when people aren't watching, are you doing what you know is to be right, at least for you? I love what Oprah Winfrey said. Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody's going to know whether you did it or not. One great attitude challenge that I'd like to give you today on top of the others is go do something for somebody, don't tell them, and hopefully just be a blessing in their life and not expect to be thanked. And the last one's from the great Zig Ziglar, who's one of my favorites. With integrity, you have nothing to fear since you have nothing to hide, right? You have nothing to fear if we have nothing to hide. It is true that integrity alone won't make you a leader, but without integrity, you will never be one. That is from the great Zig Ziglar. These are my thoughts on integrity. Remember that you cannot win in life, you cannot win in business, and you cannot win in relationships unless you win in your mind first.
