Hello there, Attitude Nation. It is, Glenn Bill, checking in with you on day 29 for attitude awareness Month. I hope you're all doing well as promised. Even though I missed it yesterday, we are going to talk about the attitude of ambition. I hope you've enjoyed our past 29 days together. I sure have. Please remember to like, please remember to share. Please remember to check out our podcast at the Get Attitude Podcast. We just dropped Dr. Ezekiel Taylor, a truly inspirational man and a dear friend. But we're going to talk about this thing called ambition today. And you know what's so interesting is when you mention ambition to people, half the people think ambition's a good thing, and half the people aren't so sure they like ambition or they definitely may or may not like ambitious people. People. So I want to try to clarify the definition of ambition and how ambition can be used for good and be used for bad, just like anything, right? Love can be used for good. Love can be used for bad. Knowledge can be used for good. Knowledge can be used for bad. Science. The same thing. So my question is, is what is your ambition? Like, what do you want to be, what do you want to do, and what do you want to have? You know, ambition is defined as a strong desire to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work. Now, I know there's a lot of folks that would like to achieve many things in their life, but you know what? When you start talking to them about determination and hard work, they start saying, not interested. Desire and determination are obviously required if you want to achieve success. Success. And my guess is you're tuning in with me here today because you want to achieve success because you have some measure or some level of ambition. But I think at first, you know, we. When we think about and talk about ambition, we really have to just understand what it is and what it really is is, just like I said, it's a strong desire to achieve. Now, why do some people have a strong desire to achieve and others don't? I believe that. You know what? Each ofUS has two choices to make about what we will do with our lives. The first choice we can make is to be less than we have the capacity to be. To earn less, to have less, to read less, to think less, and to try less and discipline ourselves less. Which obviously doesn't mean we're going to get what we want out of life. But what's our second choice? And it is a choice. Our second choice is actually to do it all, to become all that we possibly can be, to read every single book that we possibly can, to listen to every podcast that we can, to earn as much as we can, to give and share as much as we possibly can, to strive and produce and accomplish as much as possible. All of us have that choice. To do more or to do less. To be or not to be, to be all or less or to be nothing at all. It is a choice. And I hope your choice is, you know what, I'm going to harness my ambition, I'm going to harness my strong desire, and I'm going to do more with my life. And hopefully this attitude awareness month has put you there. And so why is it that most people don't pursue their dreams and I believe that most people don't pursue their dreams and most people don't engage and dance with their ambition because you know what? They just simply do not know what to do yet? Well, I can tell you this. First of all, we need to simply identify what is your ambition to be, do or have. Your attitude assignment during this attitude workout is to really say, you know, what one of the one, two or three things that I want to become, what do I want to do? And maybe what do I want to have or obtain? And then how can I be a benefit to the world to achieve that? How can I garner my ambition without destroying others? Right? So once you identify what you want out of your life and once you identify what your true ambition is in life, then we need to figure out how to do it. And so my question to you is very simple. How much time have you spent working on yourself and how much time have you spent working on your dream? Here's what I know. Most people don't spend time working on themselves or on their dreams. If you're watching this video, congratulations. At least you're getting eight or nine minutes a day for me. Excuse me. And I hope that you are working on your dream. How much, how much time, how much have you invested in yourself? How much have you learned new in the next in the last 90 days? And have you found the need to develop you when you look at ambition, all of these things will help. Ambition can certainly be a powerful source for good in our lives, but only if it is legitimate. False ambition will. Will take you down a road to nowhere when it is all said and done. Sometimes ambition, as we talked about, is misinterpreted. It's often misunderstood. Ambition, true ambition, is not a selfish quality. It is not another word for being ruthless and getting things at all costs. It is something that is not to be shunned. Or subdued. Legitimate ambition is an honorable trait. At its very best. Our ambition serves us and it serves the people we love. In fact, pursuing your ambition is one of the most selfless things that you possibly can do. True ambition is discipline. It's an eager desire for achievement. It is a state of mind, and it's a way of life. If you want to live the ambitious life, it is something that needs to take over every second, every minute and every hour of your day. When it comes to pursuing your passion, something that you were passionate and ambitious about, this is the mindset, this is the attitude that it takes. So I'm here today to give you the encouragement to say, go ahead and dream like we've been talking about all month. Go ahead and identify something that you know you should be doing. Do you have an idea that's inside of you that you're not acting on? Because I can promise you this, somebody else may have the same idea. And there's nothing worse than seeing somebody else live your dream, seeing somebody else live and do things and accomplish things that you know you can do. And why don't people do what they want to do? Three things obviously right, fear, limited vision, and lack of self esteem. These are three identifiers that we need to squash in our life, that we need to become ambitious about removing in our life. And these are the reasons simply that people do not do what they know they should do. I hope that this little attitude workout has been good for you. I hope that you have some shared ambitions with people that you love. And I want to just say hello to some of our friends. This. There's Emily Westover. Hi, Emily, how are you? I love that. Gotta find your why. And you know what she said? I needed a reminder. Have to put in the time and the energy to get results. Emily, that's so great. And there's nothing I love more than seeing our attitude students, our gappers, come on here reaching out to me with DMS texts and all that. So I'm so happy and I'm honored to be able to be of service for Attitude Awareness Month. We only got one more day. I hope you like this. I hope you share it out. I hope that you spend some time on your ambition, but I hope you spend some time on yourself. I hope you find something to learn today. That would be your attitude lesson or your attitude assignment on top of everything else I give you. Go find something to do. Go find something to learn. That's new. All right, this is Glenn Bill signing off from the University of Attitude. It was a great day today. I'm gonna make it a great night. Today is the day. I want to thank Chris and Kim Revelli for hosting me last night. It was so good to be with you, too. And I hope that God blesses you all. And I hope you always remember that if you want to win in life, if you want to win in business, and if you want to win in your relationships, you need to win in your mind first. And that's what the University of Attitude is here to do. We're here to change the world one attitude at a time. And I hope you enjoyed our message on ambition. Stay positive, guys.
