We are here for the Attitude Workout. As we are going through our coronavirus workouts and exercises, I hope everybody who's at home is feeling good and staying positive inside their mindset. This is Glenn Bill, Author of the ABCs of Attitude, founder of the University of Attitude, and host of the Gap the Get Attitude Podcast. And we're here for our 13 minute workout. Our 13 minute message on positive attitude focusing on Grow or die, which is attitude booster number seven. And we're just going to wait here for just a second and hope that we maybe get some friends that come up and want to participate with us. We've done about seven of these. I was going to go do the boosters 1 through 10. We've had a lot of great views. We appreciate you guys supporting us, clicking our views, liking and sharing please on the podcast. If you'll subscribe, rate and review, that would be helpful as well. And today what I wanted to talk about was something from our book, something from the book the ABCs of Attitude. And what I wanted to go through was a very simple formula in order to get rid of your lousy attitude. Now I am going to be part of a pretty large virtual business mastery conference and I'm going to put the link in the comments if you guys want to. If you guys want to check that out, you'll be able to click on it and register. It's a four day virtual conference with some of the largest entrepreneurs and influencers in Internet marketing, entrepreneurship, business building and business development. That there is and it is called Virtual Business. I'm putting it in right now, wealth masterclass.com that should be the link and it is in there. So if you guys want to join there. Boy, there's I sat in on three or four different pretty fantastic sessions today about how to build your business, how to grow your online business, how to increase YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn traction with your business. So hopefully you guys will check into that and you'll enjoy that. Want to share with you this brief little video about the Rid of formula, how to get rid of and how to smash your lousy attitude. The RINO Formula is a fun little formula that we developed several years ago to help people really start anew, to help them clear their mind and to help them ask themselves the questions that allow them to grow. And this is what we're talking about, growing or dying? The great Lou Holtz and many philosophers have said, you know what? You are either growing or you're dying. And so part of our book that we did and part of the things that we speak about on stage with our clients is to simply help them ask certain questions that will help them create a better life, a more open mind, a more open heart to this thing that we call attitude. So when we talk about the rido formula. Hi Paige, good to see you. Safari can't find the server. That's interesting. I may actually have paged the wrong email in there. So I will make sure that I get the right email when we're done. Thank you for letting me know that. So hang tight. But I will be speaking and presenting live at 4 o' clock tomorrow on that. And we are hitting what is called the RID of formula. The RID of. RID of formula on how to smash your lousy attitude, which is part two of the book. So the first one I want to talk about is R this thing called recognition, right? What do we need to recognize? We know that your negative thought patterns, when it comes to whatever you want to change about yourself, is something that we have to recognize. So when you look at the challenges in front of you, when you look at change, when people say you need to change, or if you say to yourself in the mirror, I need to change, the one thing that I think you need to ask yourself is what? What is the first thing that comes into our mind when we think of change? My guess is if you're watching this video, you feel like you need to change about something. I know I certainly need to change plenty of things about what I do and how I do them. But the biggest reason that people don't change and that they don't embrace change are these things called negative thought patterns that happen when the thought of changing occurs. And usually that is those negative thought patterns is, you know what, my life doesn't suck as bad as I really think it does. Or the negative thought pattern, maybe it's just going to be too hard to change. Or you talk yourself into saying things like, you know, a change isn't really going to make a difference for me. So what I want you to recognize in the R part of that is that you need to understand how do you feel about changing if you really want to change a negative attitude or bust through to a positive attitude. Right. You need to recognize what are my negative thought patterns every time I think about changing. And I would love to know what you guys want to change in your life, what challenges you have, or what are the negative thought patterns immediately that hit when you think you're going to change. So many of us have the weight challenge, and we go, we know we need to change our weight. We know we need to lose our weight, but what happens? We go, gosh, we can't eat any more good food. I'm too tired to work out. I don't have enough time. All of these negative thought patterns come up about, quote, unquote, weight loss, when in fact they don't need to. The I in the riddle formula is called identify. Right? We need to identify how the challenges, the attitudes that limit our lives. Right? How these attitudes. Sorry, I was reading something else. How these manifest themselves. We need to identify a couple things. What would be possible if I change my attitude about the challenge that we have when we talk about identification? What I really want to talk to you guys about is identifying the challenges in your life and asking yourself the following five questions. What would be possible if I changed my attitude about this? I don't know the biggest challenge that you have in your life, but I can tell you this. Whatever that challenge is, asking yourself these five questions might help you identify a way to overcome it. And what would be possible if I change my attitude about this? Can you imagine the things that could happen in your life if, in fact, you could identify the possibility of change that happens if you just change your attitude about what you're doing? Trying to consider second step and I, what am I not getting in the physical or emotional sense when it comes to this challenge and my attitude about this challenge? So you know what? We're not getting things out of life or out of a challenge if we automatically identify that, hey, we can't do this, we can't make the change. And so to understand what you're not getting is a really important lever when it comes to making change. Now, I don't know what you're trying to change about your life or your business or your happiness or your attitude, but what are you not getting? Is a question, obviously, to bring other people into this. Who else would benefit or appreciate the fact that I have changed with this challenge in my life to identify those people that could actually become positive or be positively affected if in fact you chose to change? Number four. How is this limiting my Life. So not only limiting what I'm getting out of life, but is it limiting my life? Is it limiting my life in terms of am I going to lose more hours because of the change that I'm not making? Maybe it's limiting your financial life, your spiritual life or your physical life, whatever it might be. And number five, am I better, more productive person for having that negative attitude towards the challenge? In other words, when we have challenges, are we better off by not facing them? Right? Of course we're not. Right. So that's why we want to do it. So when we talk about the RID of formula, we have recognized, we have identify which those are what I call the shoulds. And then we have to do this. We have to decide which is called the must. Getting out of fear and self blame habits about where I'm in life, perceived limitations. Very good page. I love it. Let's just talk about that very quick. You know, fear, we've heard this a million times as false evidence. Appearing real and self blame is a very convenient way for you to sabotage change in your life. Again, if you tune into my 4pm thing on the business masterclass, you're gonna, we're gonna go deep into this. So Paige, hopefully you'll join us for that and hopefully that will be good for you. Let's talk about making a decision though, right? We must decide. Recognizing and identifying are very good, but they really don't involve quote unquote actions. Deciding is really creating the muscle and the movement to make things happen. I believe in moments of decision about your attitude, the way you think, that change, that are what change the direction and course of your life. It's in the moments of decision that your destiny is created, is what Tony Robbins used to say. So we got to recognize, we got to identify. But then we have to decide and that means we have to actually do something about the changes that we want to create, about the growth that we want to experience. The question is, are you ready to decide? And when you decide, are you ready to act on that decision and get moving? Certainly we've all made decisions over the past two weeks when it comes to coronavirus. And have you acted on those decisions and have you moved forward? Attitude dreamers love to do recognition and identification. Attitude achievers love to do the decision making process. When we talk about the RID of formula, we go to O which is overcoming. And it's very, very natural that you have to overcome what we call excuses. When you want to grow, when you want to change, we all immediately in our mind and in our body start creating excuses on why we can't do what we wish to do, why we can't change the way we wish to change. And so when we talk about overcoming, I'll just read this from the book. Everyone wants a piece of your mind, right? Everyone wants a piece of your mind. When you do not overcome that, those forces now have the ability to dictate your way of thinking, to create a new way for you to dedicate yourself to the way they think, not you. Now more than ever, right? Hell, I'm doing it. You know, right now with our live videos, everybody is in a race and is in a fight for your mind. And when we talk about attitude, it's the way you dedicate yourself to the way you think and being able to have a mind of your own and think for yourself. There are messages that are being perpetrated throughout social media, especially on social media, where people are grasping at your mind. When I talk about and when I look at and hear about people doing Netflix binges, I just watched the Tiger King and I and I was sitting there going, how is Tiger King entertainment value? Very good. But how is this really making me a better business person? How is it making me a better person in general? I'm not judging the people on Tiger King, but from what it turns out, it looks like you got a whole group of meth heads that are running a tiger farm. I haven't been through it. I only watched about two episodes. But the tragedy of other people and the fascination that we have with the tragedy of other people really creates an interesting paradigm for me to study as an attitude person. I didn't feel better watching that show. And my guess is I'm not going to feel better watching many of the shows that are provided to us on a binge watch situation. So when we talk about overcoming, what I really am saying is I think we really need to overcome those outside forces that attack us, that want our attention, that want our mind power in order to create a way of thinking so they can sell and market to us, right? And then F is simply faithfulness and we'll just end on F for the growing. It's, you know, your attitude needs to become a religion for you. I don't know if you're a person of faith or not. I'm very faithful, which is great. I think we're entering Holy Week, getting ready for Easter to come up. It's going to be a beautiful week. And the question is, do you treat your mind and do you treat being a positive Person like faith, you know, do you have faith in yourself? Do you practice that faith and do you evangelize positive attitude with everyone you meet? Is it truly a mission of faith, your positive attitude? So those are the questions that I've asked you. I've asked you probably about 20 questions. If you wrote them down, those will be your exercise and your attitude exercise questions of the day. So when we think about growing or dying, here's what I want you to do. Number one, I want you to recognize. I want you to recognize how you think and I want you to recognize how you feel about change and maybe recognize the one change you want to make. Number two, I want you to identify right identify how you feel about it and identify the negative thought patterns you have towards change. D I want you to decide to go ahead and make that change, whatever it may be. Oh, I want you to overcome all the people that are going to tell you you can't make the change, the change isn't worth it. And to watch your mind and watch the exterior forces that are in your mind. Maybe the attitude exercise is simply this. Don't watch TV for 48 hours. That would be a good exercise. Chances are you'll feel better. And F to simply dedicate your life just like you dedicate your faith to a positive attitude, to dedicating your life and your mind to the way you think. Eve, it's great to see you at Mass today. Father Sean said we need to use this time as a spring training for what is coming after all this is over. No question about it. There are going to be those who thrive after the coronavirus. There are those who are wilting during the coronavirus. There are people that are binge watching, binge drinking, they're binge everything. But I am binge working. I am binge studying. I am binge creating and trying to use this time as a force for good and a force for positive morale. For everybody that watches us, I want to thank you for tuning in again.
