More and hello, we are live Day one of Global Attitude Awareness Month. It's so good to be with you. Please make sure that you are hitting me with your thumbs up and your hearts and we would love to have you let us know what you're thinking, give us your feedback in the comments and be a part of what we're doing. This is day one of four during Global Attitude Awareness Month and it's so good to be with you. I hope that you'll hit our notifications when you see our posts which we will be putting on a day in advance. And today we are going to answer the question how can I not let someone else's negative attitude affect me in a negative way? You know, so many of us are affected in a negative manner because of the negative people or the negative occurrences or the negative information that is around. And I want to just talk about basically three statements of fact. Number one, sometimes positive attitude is not about adding, but it's about subtracting. It's not about adding likes, it's not about adding thumbs up, it's not about adding friends. It's not about adding a lot of things to your life. Maybe it's not about adding material things, but it's about subtracting. Sometimes in order for us to stay positive, we need to limit our associations with negative people. Maybe we need to limit our associations with negative habits. Or maybe we need to eliminate associations with negative self talk that goes into our head. I often say we're the only people that are able to think about something in the future and have a bad attitude. Let it ruin your day for the whole day because you know that you have a negative meeting coming up and you dwell on this negative thought, right? And we're going to give you three questions that you can ask yourselves. But one thing that has helped a lot of people when it comes to how do I stop the pattern of negative thinking? Some of us become extremely negative because we're inside of our heads and we cannot stop the pattern. Well, the first thing you can do is become aware. The second thing you can do is say look at stop. I'm not going to think Negative. I'm going to think about something that's ultimately positive and it's okay to fixate on one positive things thing that you can focus on that will make you happy. One of the more fun things is to give your negative thought patterns a name. Maybe it's Roger. And so when you are sitting there dwelling on negative thoughts, go, Roger, stop. Stop, Roger. Get out of my head. Very, very proven techniques in order to stop the negative thinking pattern. Let's all make a pact today. You are not going to dwell on or think about a negative thought for more than 30 seconds the rest of the month. If you want to boost your attitude, if you want to become a more positive, attractive person, a more contagious person that people want to be around, it's time to have the awareness that you're obsessing over a negative thought. And then after 30 seconds, call that thought out, give it a name and say, I'm not letting it happen, I'm done. The second thing that I want you to think about is you better get serious about protecting your attitude. Oftentimes I think, would you be willing to just give somebody $10,000, just literally write them a check for 10,000 or 100,000 or a million? Well, let me tell you something. What is your attitude worth when you let somebody affect your attitude? Do you know people that aren't happy unless they're miserable? I mean, I do. I'm sure you do. And what do they do? They suck that value out of you. I want you to think about writing every negative person that comes in and you can see them coming, sometimes a check for 10,000 and handing it to you. Your personal peace is worth millions of dollars. And you're allowing other people who are negative and they're bitching about government, they're bitching about health care, they're bitching about politics, they're bitching about their relationships. Look it, you got to eliminate it, right? You need to understand and you need to put a price tag on your personal piece. And if it's 10 grand, it's 10 grand. And when you see people coming and they want to take your time for more than 30 seconds, bitching and complaining, I want you to think about writing a check for $10,000 and handing it to them. Would you ever do that? Hell no, you would not do that. There's no way you would write a check for $10,000 for somebody that's taking your piece for somebody that's taking your attitude. So you know what? Don't let them do it. Sometimes we need to manifest it in that way. And the second one is you don't owe anyone, right? You don't owe anyone. But the other thing is, nobody owes you. One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is they feel they're owed from other people and they feel like they've done so much for others that those people owe them. And sometimes you're on the receiving end of that, where you go, well, I've done all this for these people and they owe me. The concept of owing people, you need to eliminate. It will only create negative thoughts. If you're going to do something, do something because it's positive. Here's our three strategies to stay positive when you're with negative people, to allow all their negativity to bounce off of you. Number one, I want you to ask this question, is it true? You know, most negative people do not deal. In fact, most negative people, what they're upset about isn't even true. And a lot of your self talk when you become negative inside your mind, you start creating and making things up that aren't even true. So I want you to stop, become aware, name your negative thought. But mostly I want you to say is, is what I'm believing is what I'm harping on, is what I'm thinking? Or is what this idiot who's negative who's trying to take my 10,000 bucks, is what they're saying true? And then when they're talking to you and engaging to you, you need to ask them, stop, stop. I can't take any more negative talk. But what are you going to do about it? What are you going to do about it, Mr. Negative Person? And let's change their pattern so they're not bitching and complaining and griping, but they are actually trying to find a solution. And in finding a solution, I think you might find it becomes a more positive conversation. And then the last thing that I'm going to tell you to do is go find someone who makes you happy. There are people in your life that make you happy. There are people in your life that are very positive that make you feel positive. And I'm going to tell you this. Seek out those people, identify those people. And when you are feeling down, it's time to pick up the phone, give them a call or shoot them a text. In closing, here's what I want you to know. Your attitude is a fight for territory inside your mind. And once you stop fighting for your positive attitude, for what you want with your thoughts and your attitude, what you don't want will automatically occur. And I'll say it again, when you stop fighting for what you want for the positive in your life, what you don't want will automatically take over and occur in your life. So if we want to stop being negative, we need to fight. You need to fight inside your mind. You need to fight for your positivity. You need to become aware of. And I hope that it all starts today. 30 seconds. Every negative thought, 30 seconds. We're going to address the negative people and ask them, is what they're saying true? What are you going to do about it? And then I want you to find something or someone that makes you happy. I hope that this message today reached you. I hope if you like this, that you will share it out. I hope you'll send it in a private message to somebody that's struggling with negative people in their life.
