I'm SBA Administrator Linda McMahon. Congratulations to all of you on your success. The SBA is so proud to have been a part of your growth. As an entrepreneur myself, I know the hard work that goes into creating something of value, and it isn't always recognized or appreciated. This week, we salute your efforts and thank you for all you contribute to your communities through your skills, products and services. National Small Business Week celebrates our nation's 30 million small businesses. You are the innovators and the job creators. As entrepreneurs, you are not only making a living for yourselves, you are making your neighborhoods vibrant, places to live and work, and contributing to our nation's economic strength. You are proof that the American Dream can truly be a reality. Let your success be an inspiration for others still dreaming that dream. As I have traveled all over the country meeting with small businesses over the past year, I have been surprised to learn how many people think the SBA is just for startups or just for loans. None of you are startups. You are success stories. And many of you have been in business for decades, using the SBA's vast array of resources for more than just capital. Please join me as I spread the word about all the services the SBA offers. Tell a friend about how the SBA helped you. Whether you got funding, federal contracts, counseling or training through the SBA or one of our resource partners, you have a story to share. This week's awards honor the achievements you have already made, and I hope they also serve as a springboard for even more success in the years to come. Whatever goals you have to grow your product lines, build on your customer base, or expand to new markets, I wish you tremendous success and remind you that the SBA and its resource partners are here for you with even more ways to help you grow. And as we shine a light on your achievements, I hope it will be a beacon illuminating the path for even more aspiring entrepreneurs following in your footsteps.
