I'm Carrie Schmidt Poynter, and my company is BC Schmidt Construction. I'm a federal contractor, and I've been in business 25 years. I have been successful in the federal arena with the help of the sba. I started out not knowing anything about how to run a business or how to even start a business. And so by coming to those initial classes, I started learning, and that's where I got most of my information. I went to every class that they offered that was pertinent to federal construction, whether it was setting up the business, whether it was the marketing, whether it was going after contracts, how to write a technical proposal. So thank you for forward thinking on how we can make this country better, because that's what we're all trying to think of with our boots here on the ground.
