Adding Contributors to your Application as part of your eight Initial application, you will need to identify other contributors that are required to submit information for your application. The SBA recommends that you enter your additional contributors before continuing through other sections. This will allow other contributors to work on filling out their personal information while you are finishing the other sections of your application. Other contributors include your spouse, other individuals in majority ownership claiming disadvantaged status and their spouses individuals who own at least 10% of the applicant firm and directors, managing members, partners and officers. Firm owners can invite these individuals to submit their electronic questionnaires by by adding their names and emails in the Individual Contributors section of the application and pressing Send Invitation to collaborate. Individual contributors are notified via email that there has been a request for them to participate in your application. Each contributor will receive an email with details to login to certify.sba.gov create their own account and provide their information. Firm owners will not have access to view an individual contributor's personal information and likewise the contributor will not be able to access the firm's application. Certify does this to protect each individual's personal information. However, the firm owner will be able to see the status of each individual contributor's application and can send reminder emails for the contributor to complete their section as needed through Certify.
