This is my last day as head of the U.S. small Business Administration, and I want to say thank you to all of you who have supported our efforts to promote the nation's 30 million small businesses. Serving as SBA administrator has been one of the great privileges of my life. I was so honored when President Trump nominated me for this job. As an entrepreneur myself, I have long known the challenges and rewards of building a business. I have truly lived the American dream and was proud to help make that dream a reality for more people. I am so proud of the work the SBA does to help small businesses start, grow, and succeed. Over the past two years, we have worked hard to modernize our outreach and improve the customer experience. We have sharpened our focus on helping women, veterans, and people in rural areas and tap the SBA's resources as they develop small businesses of their own. I am incredibly inspired by our nation's ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit. I'm leaving the SBA with terrific memories, pride in what we accomplished, and confidence in the ability of our small businesses to continue to drive our economy and to build an even greater America.
