Two Georgia state representatives call a legislative package the fulfillment of Trump's campaign promises. The bill extends 2017 tax cuts, funds border security and the military, adjusts tipping policy, and cuts Medicaid waste.

I believe the big beautiful bill is just simply President Trump carrying out what he campaigned on. He campaigned on extending and making permanent 2017 tax cuts. That's in the bill. He campaigned on securing the border. That's in the bill. He campaigned on no tax, on tips. Again in the bill. He campaigned on restoring our military, including some startup funding and some complete funding for the Gold Dome. That's in the bill. He also campaigned on eliminating waste, fraud and abuse. And we're proud to see that's in the bill from the Medicaid perspective. So I think once you peel back some of the politics and look at some of the policy provisions in the bill, I think that the American taxpayers will see it's good for them. It's also good for the American public in general.
This big, beautiful bill is a perfect example of promises made and promises kept by President Trump in the campaign. He's doing exactly what he said he was going to do.
I really think this delivers for the state of Georgia, for people in Georgia. It's a pro worker bill.
It's delivering for Americans, and it's doing exactly what the mandate asked for.
So a pro business bill. I really think in the end, it's going to be a big benefit to the state of Georgia and to our citizens.
So the big beautiful bill has passed the House and now in the Senate. And I just urge constituents to reach out to their senators and encourage them to pass this thing and get it on the president's desk as soon as possible.
