We're celebrating our teachers all over America. And I would just like to talk about, you know, a teacher that really had special impact on my life. Her name was Mrs. Brown. She was my French teacher. I loved her style in class. I thought she was funny. I thought she was incredibly impactful with all the students in the room. Mrs. Brown was a great influence on me.
It is Teacher Appreciation Week. I think my favorite teacher, if I had to think of it, fifth grade, Mr. Cavanaugh. Can't remember the subject, but he taught us how to play chess, and he was a good guy. In reality, who's the best teacher I ever had? My father and mother.
My favorite teacher was Mrs. Leslie Houston. She always told me that I could be whatever I wanted to be in life and that if I worked hard and trusted God, that I could make good things happen for myself.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week. I would like to thank Mr. Bill McCormick, who was my high school economics teacher at Richmond Northeast High School. He was the first one introduced me to the intersection of economics and national security. And there's no way that I could be doing what I'm doing today for President Trump without Mr. McCormick. So thank you, and thank you all.
Teachers in the United States. Hey, everybody, it's Doug Collins. It's Teacher Appreciation Week. I've got Two special ones. Ms. Pinky Cave and Ms. Katherine McCall. An elementary school teacher and a high school teacher that helped me just develop a love of learning, and that's what teachers do. So great. But I also have a special teacher in mind, too. I have a wife who taught for 31 years. Our teachers do it right. They help our kids.
I want to start by giving a shout out to my favorite teacher, my daughter Annie. I want to recognize a couple of teachers I had in high school, like my math teacher, Mr. Huntington, and my Spanish teacher, Mr. Lerma. They helped me pave the way for me to become the first in my family to graduate from college. To our teachers across the country, thank you for all you do, and happy Teacher Appreciation Week.
Teaching is one of the most noble professions, and I'd just like to take a moment to say thank you to all of our teachers all over our country.
