Hi and welcome to our guide on registering and checking your status in DLA Dibs. Let's dive right in. First, here are some important tips to remember. Each user must register individually under their company's CAGE code. You must first be registered in SAM.gov and have received a CAGE code before beginning the Dibs registration process. If you do not already have a CAGE code, you can get one through completing the registration process in SAM.gov we have a step by step guide to this posted on our channel and linked in the description below. The first person to register under a company's CAGE code becomes the Super User. This Super User must approve others who want to register under the same CAGE code. DIBS requires you to change your password every 60 days and yes, the password requirements are extensive with a minimum of 15 characters. Dibs will send you an email reminding you to change your password before the 60 days are up. Now let's get started with the registration process. If your company has never registered in DIBS before, here are the simple steps that you'll need to follow. Go to the following website www.dibs.bsm.dla.mil Once you're in dibs, click OK on the pop up screen. Next you will click on the home screen on the far left of the banner. Then locate the Vendor registration link inside the top right box. On the next screen it will take you to step one of the 11 step registration process. Step one. You will enter your CAGE code and click next. Step 2. You will verify your mailing address. Check the box that states that you verified this address is correct and click Next. For step three, you will enter your Dibs account administrator and your super user. This is who has control over the account. You can add other people as the next level A under the superuser. Then click Next. Go to your email account and get the PIN that they emailed you. Input this number in the box provided and click Next. Next you will click on the green button to request a postcard. Double check the address below to ensure that your postcard is mailed to the correct location. Your postcard will arrive in about 10 to 14 days. The next screen tells you that a postcard has been sent to you. You now wait for the physical postcard to be mailed to complete the registration process. Once you receive your postcard, go back to www.dibs.bsm.dla.mil. go to the home page again and click on Vendor Registration. And that's right inside the top right box. After you insert your cage code, it will take you Back to step five. Now you will insert the verification number that was sent on your postcard next to Physical Address verification number and click Next for step six. You will now be on the Accept User Agreement page. Make sure you read through the whole agreement and when complete check the box at the bottom stating that you accept the terms of this agreement. Be sure to read the full document. Next you will set up your password. Read the instructions carefully while creating this intricate password. This password will need to be updated every 30 days. On the next screen you will be asked to create a few challenge questions. Be sure to keep record of these questions and answers. This will help you later if you lose your password. Next you will be taken to the default Contractor representations page. Click that you agree to alternate disputes resolutions. Next it will ask you to input how long your quote is valid and this means how long does the government have to accept your quote? This is usually between 45 and 60 days. To the right of this box you'll see discount terms. This means if they pay quicker than the normal seven to 14 days, will they be given a discount? You can decide what is best for your company. Many often put 2% for 10 days. Below this section you'll see notifications. You'll input where you want the award notifications to be sent. This will most likely be your email. You may also insert an alternative email address. Next insert an email address for solicitation notifications. The next section is Vendor Directed Notifications. It is advised not to sign up for this at this step in the process until you have determined the exact type of products and materials that you will be bidding on so you can skip this step. Next is Decline non Vendor Solicitation Notification section. Be sure to keep this box unchecked. After that is Decline Quote Reminder email notification Choose a selection that best fits your preference and click Next. Finally, read through this page to ensure that you've submitted all of your information correctly and if you have, proceed to the next step now. You should see your cage code on the screen requesting you to log in using your created password. Your login is your cage code with 001 at the end. For example, if your cage code was 7B242, your login would be 7B 242001. If you registered other users under your superuser account, their login will be with 002003 and etc. At the end. There might be a few other scenarios that your company might be in. As you dive into the registration process, you might realize that your company is already registered in Dibs. If this is the case, the Super User who is the person that created the company account in Dibs needs to be the one to add you to the Authorized User list. They will need to log into Dibs. Click on Account, then click Add Account to enter your name, email and phone number. Once done, you'll receive an email with a registration link and then a second email with a temporary pin. As you follow the instructions, use this PIN to set up your account by providing a password. A second scenario could be that your company is registered in Dibs but the super user is no longer with the company. In this case, you will need to contact DLA using their feedback form. We will provide this link in the description and then you will need to provide them with your company info Request Account Deletion Especially if the super user has left the company and that's it.
