Chapters

My name is Jason Hartley. I'm from Whittier, California. My story is about my dad. In 2002 to 2008, he served in the US Army. Eventually, in 2008, he got medically discharged after a few assignments. He always had a sense of urgency to serve his community. Back at home, he served in the LA Sheriff's Department. He did that from 2008 all the way until 2018 when he unfortunately passed away. But because of him, he inspired me to do so many things for my community. Because of him, my grandpa, it inspired me to apply to the United States Military Academy and I hope to serve my community like him.
