💫 Think about your community. — Craig Charles, Tennessee #SmallBiz Person of the Year

My name is Craig Charles of Crown Cuts Academy in Johnson City, Tennessee, and Bristol, Virginia. I think one of the key things for people starting businesses is thinking about your community and thinking about giving back. Community service is important. If you can volunteer in your community, in your area, that's the start of helping your business grow. I listen to a lot of Bob Marley. Bob Marley kind of keeps me kind of calm and keeps you kind of motivated because he has a lot of songs that can kind of elevate my mind to think of why I want to do, where I want to go. It's special. Is special because for your hard work, a lot of times you don't think that your work is being noticed or your work is warranted. But when you have a passion and there's a desire burned inside of you, your work will show and people will always recognize the passion and that desire that you have.
