This is a short YouTube video segment featuring VP Vance and a commentator, Lawrence, discussing economic policies associated with the Trump administration. Vance argues that tariffs were not inflationary during Trump's first term, citing 1.5% inflation, rapid economic growth, and a U.S. manufacturing resurgence; he contrasts that with objections to the Biden-era fiscal path and emphasizes tougher immigration/deportation stances. Lawrence emphasizes benefits to American workers and small businesses, lower egg and energy prices, and new factory investment driven by tariff avoidance and Trump policies.

During the first Trump administration, everybody said that Trump's tariffs were going to be inflationary. Back then, what actually happened? We had 1.5% inflation. We had the fastest growing economy in a generation, and we had the beginning of a manufacturing renaissance in the United States of America. President Trump is taking this economy in a different direction. He ran on that, he promised it, and now he's delivering. And yes, this is a big change. I'm not going to shy away from it, but we needed a big change. Lawrence, we cannot keep going down the Joe Biden globalist pathway where we have 2 trillion doll of peacetime debt and deficits. This is unquestionably a person an immigration judge had found had zero right to be in the United States of America. We do not ask permission from far left Democrats before we deport illegal immigrants. We do. The American people's business care the most.
About American workers and about American small businesses. And they're the ones who are really going to benefit from these policies. The fake news always tries to take the strongest members of the president's team and attack them and tear them down. They things couldn't be better. It's just I don't even know where it's coming from. And I think that where it's coming from is the media is so resentful of the fact that we're doing a good job. President Trump's policies are great, and yes, there is some transition that's going to come along with this, but you're already seeing the evidence that things are getting better. Egg prices are lower, energy prices are lower. You've got trillions of dollars of new investment coming into the country. That's people who are building factories because they want to avoid the tariffs. And that's the exact purpose of President Trump's economic policy.
