Welcome to Accountants Law Pod, where accounting professionals and law firms converge. Hosted by Lynda Artesani, Sarah Prevost, and Steven Libhart.
Welcome to the Accountants Law Pod, where accountants and law firms converge. I'm Lynda Artesani. I'm the founder of Artesani Accounting and the co-founder of The Proper Trust and the Accountants Law Lab. I've basically been doing this work for almost 25 years, and I love bookkeeping, accounting, all of it. And I really love that I work with attorneys. It's been fun, it's been challenging, it's been exciting. And I hope we can convey that when we walk through the different sessions that we're doing with the LawPod podcast. Hope that we'll be able to excite people like we are excited about this industry. And we're going to talk to you about a lot of topics. So a myriad of topics, starting with maybe if you're starting your firm, what do you do? We'll talk a little about what we did when we first started our firms. We'll also talk about best practices. If you work with attorneys and law firms, we're going to talk about health and fitness and how you can be— stay healthy and maintain proper health. If you are a bookkeeper sitting at a desk for 8, 9, 10 hours a day, So we have a lot of fun stuff coming your way. So I'm going to toss it over to my beautiful business partner Sarah, and she's going to tell you all about her firm.
I'm Sarah Prevost, the founder of Mintage Labs, co-founder of Create CoLab and The Proper Trust. And my goal and mission is to shake it up here in the accountant's law pod. As we like to joke around. And I am looking forward to sharing and answering questions that you all may have and interests that you're wanting to delve into as we look towards the future of accounting, the future of the accounting for specifically law firms and where clients are moving to, what clients are doing, are they merging, are they going out solo? How does that work? How do we cater to that? What does this mean for our new space? So I'm looking forward to this journey, and I'm going to kick it off to our wonderful, lovely Steve, and he can share all about his amazing world and how he is in our world.
Well, thank you, Lynda and Sarah. That was just a wonderful intro. And my name is Steve Libhart. I have been doing this going on 20 years now, working in law firms and serving law firms. I serve law firms of all different sizes. I was very blessed to hook up with Lynda and Sarah about a year, year and a half ago maybe. And we just have a great synergy amongst the three of us. And we have been preparing for this Law Pod, Law Pod, the Law Pod. None of us can say this today, but we've been preparing for this for several months and we're really excited that the launch is coming and it's here. And like they said, we're— we want to shake it up. We're going to throw it all up in the air. We're going to ask for input from everybody listening to this podcast and for ideas and what you want to learn from us. I think if you take all the years of experience that we have, there's a lot of years in here in this room right now, and we just love working with bookkeepers and accountants who are interested in serving attorneys. So I'm so honored and I'm thrilled to be here. And thank you so much. Thank you.
