How to pronounce the word months. I've been getting a lot of requests to teach this word, so here goes. We begin with an m sound, then the as in cup, just like mother or money. It's not mons, but months. Then we have an n. Then we have a tricky transition from the voiceless th to the s. However, and this is the trick, you do not have to pronounce the th. If you've noticed, I did not say months at the beginning of the video I said months. You can simply shift from the n to the s directly when you talk about the plural form of month. For the word month, yes you have to pronounce the th, but for months you do not have to pronounce the th. Months. Months. If you insist you can pronounce a th and just stick the tongue out and shift to the essay rectly. Months, months. But you really don't have to.
