Foreign. Hello. Hello, everyone. Welcome, welcome. Welcome to the clear and confident seven day pronunciation challenge. We have not officially started. It is the day before, it is Sunday. But I wanted to have this session today just to say hello to all the most incredible people that I've already seen and gotten to know inside the Facebook group and over email. And I wanted to have a little chat and talk about what to expect if you and how to prepare. So we set you up for success during this incredible experience of the seven day pronunciation challenge. So for those of you who are joining, some of you are watching this on the website and some of you are watching this inside the Facebook group. Let me know in the chat, where are you from? And also put an emoji that describes how you're feeling right now or how excited you are for this pronunciation challenge. I can tell you that I am super excited. If you haven't seen it or heard it already, I'm so thrilled because pronunciation is my joy and passion. And I cannot wait to dive into the sounds of English, into prosody, intonation, rhythm, and stress, and start removing all the obstacles that might be in your way when working on your fluency. Because pronunciation is not just for sounding better. It is. And it's definitely not just for sounding like a native. It is all about helping you become more confident, giving you clarity around how to use English, using it effectively, making an impact. Right. Persuading people, getting what you want, and also feeling good about your voice in English. This is what we're here to do. All right, so we have people from Italy, from Mexico, from Ukraine, from Pakistan, from Venezuela. We have from Sri Lanka, from Spain, China, Japan, Peru, Brazil. That's incredible. Poland, Croatia, Kuwait. Amazing. More. Brazil and Italy and France and Hungary. Canada. Ah, such a cosmopolitan group. Taiwan. Okay, keep going. Keep going at it. Romania. All right, that's beautiful to see. Beautiful to have you here. And again, tomorrow we are starting. We are officially starting. So today it's a little less formal. Turkey. Good. And we can chat a little bit so I get to know you. Moldova, Paraguay. Oh, my God, so many countries. This is exciting. Belarus, Algeria, Bangladesh. Just like it. Like different countries. Okay. Surprise, surprise. Okay, let's talk about the pronunciation challenge. What to expect. This is what we're going to do in this session. And then we're going to chat a little bit more. Okay. So what to expect? I want you to have clarity. I want it to be organized. Everything is on the website. Everything is going to be communicated over email. But it's really important for me to do this today so we can dive into the content tomorrow. Every day starting tomorrow, we are going to have a daily session for seven days. It is going to be every day exactly at the same time. The same time that I'm going live right now. It is 9:00am EST Eastern Standard Time, New York time. Okay, so that is what's going to happen. And for some countries the clock is going to change. Daylight savings in the middle, I think it's going to be on the weekend. So make sure and follow the schedule. If you look at the on the website, you'll see a calendar and you should be seeing the events in your time zone. So whenever you're watching this right now, if you're watching live every day, the session is going to be today, but everything will be recorded and uploaded to the website right after. So even if you can't attend live, I hope you do. But even if you can't, do not worry because everything is going to be recorded and saved for and you'll have an additional week to watch the live trainings after the end of the seven days. Every day we're also going to have a 10 minute mindset talk. I find it really important and I wanted to separate it from, to separate it from the daily training. Why? Because I want you to have a different mindset for each session and that is going to be 10 minutes but that's going to happen earlier in the day. So if you live in the US it's going to be the middle of the night for you. If you live in Europe or, or in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, it's going to be the afternoon for you. Okay, so again, check your time zone. I'm not going to say a specific time, just check the website and check the calendar for your time zone and the 10 minute daily mindset talk. Every day we're going to tackle a different obstacle that you might have been facing when working in your pronunciation. Specifically, we'll connect it to the sounds and your voice and how you sound, but also to fluency. Anyone here has is a part of my English mindset program. If yes, put yes in the comments. Just so I know how many people of you, how many people here are already pretty much aware of this mindset work when it comes to language learning. So let me know. I'm really curious to know. And again, this is going to be recorded and saved and you're going to have access to it for an additional week after the challenge is over. So you will have time to catch up. A lot of yeses. Amazing. All right. I have a lot of mindset peeps here. Exciting. So it's going to be slightly different than what, you know, inside the mindset training or inside new sound because it's going to be very specific to the work that we're doing here inside the the pronunciation challenge. Now you're also going to be to have the privilege of joining practice groups with my incredible coaches, Christina and Jelena, our pronunciation coaches. They are new sound pronunciation coaches. They also helped me run the entire company and they are incredible. And every day, not the first day because you first need to learn something, but then starting from day two, you are going to have daily practice groups. If you know my sprints, then a practice group is pretty much an hour long sprint with repetitions, explanations and a lot of drills of sounds. This is how you practice, this is how you make it your own. You'll see. I'll teach you how to do that. But then you're going to be putting it into practice with my coaches and they'll also be answering questions about specific sounds. So think of it as more of an implementation. It's not a must, it's not a part of the daily training. But if you want help with implementing what you learn, you're going to have the honor of joining the practice groups with Christina and Jelena. All right. And then we're going to have a Q and A session. So any question you may have that is not going to be answered during my daily training or, or during the practice groups. We're going to have a specific day where I answer all your questions. We will have a form where you can submit your questions and I'll be answering most of the questions. A lot of times we receive similar questions, so I'll try to respond to all of them, if not most of them, if not. All right. And then we're also going to have a hot seat session with me that's going to happen on Sunday. So you're going to be coaching with me. You're going to get to work to apply to work with me one on one or just see how I work with people individually specifically around pronunciation. So I'm going to do like a very laser focused pronunciation coaching, coaching in this session. So even if you don't get to work with me one on one, if you attend live, first of all, you'll be able to ask questions and also learn so much from those sessions because usually things that some people struggle with or things that you might be struggling with as well. Now here is something important about how we communicate in the challenge so that there are no questions about am I missing out on things? Where do I find out every, like where everything is? So now I'm going to explain it. If you're doing other things, come back to the live, come back to the broadcast and just follow what I'm saying here so that you know where to find everything. This is how we communicate, first of all, over email. Make sure that your, that our emails get to your inbox, to the main folder, right? Not the promotional folder and not to the spam folder. We don't want our emails hanging out with all the promotional emails and the sales emails over there. So you can either respond to one of our emails so that your inbox recognize it, recognizes it as an important email, or just save the email address that is associated with our emails. That's hello hadar shemesh.com and then you'll be able to get it straight to your inbox. This is where we announce the important sessions and then you get the email with the daily agenda. So email is the first place where we communicate. Okay. Make sure it goes to your primary tab. If you have different tabs, then also we are going to share everything on the website. The email will link to the main challenge website. That's where the calendar is. That's where the replays are going to be. That's where the live broadcast is going to be on Facebook, but also there. So the website is another place where you can find all the important announcements and the calendars and everything. Okay, so this is, this is how it looks like. If you haven't seen it, if you haven't booked bookmarked it, then do it now. It's hadar shemesh.comchallenge-main and again, you should have a link to it from one of the emails that you're you've received. Now this is really important. Over there you'll find the calendar of the event and you should be seeing it in your time zone. Okay. And what you can do right above the calendar you will see sync it with your Google Calendar so when you click on it, you can see all the events on your calendar so that you don't have to look for emails or anything like that. And inside you'll also have the links for whatever you need. So if you want to join a practice group, the link to join the zoom call is going to be there. All right. And finally, we will share things inside the Facebook group as well. I do take into consideration that not everyone in the Challenge is, is inside the Facebook group. So if you're watching this and you do have Facebook and you're not on Facebook just yet, join the group. Because beyond watching the videos there, there are a lot of activities and we, you know, we can connect and communicate there. So there is an added value for joining the Facebook group, but it's not a must if you don't have Facebook. Okay, but that's another place where we communicate. But first and foremost, everything that needs to be communicated is going to be done over email. Now, if you are a part of the Facebook group, here is something really important that I want to talk about is how to behave inside the group. So the most important thing for us is respect, compassion and kindness. We live for it, we live by it. Right? We don't tolerate or accept any other behavior that is not respectful, compassionate and kind. Okay? This is really important. And we have zero tolerance for people who are aggressive or who, who don't respect the rules. For example, no private messages and no friends requests. Now let me talk about it a little bit. Yes, we do want you to connect here. Yes, we do want you to make friends here. But we first of all want you to learn. And I have seen in the past people posting a video and then getting a ton of messages and, and a ton of friends requests from people they don't know and then they stop posting because they don't feel safe. This is a big no, no. The moment we hear that someone starts sending private messages, we will remove them from the group immediately. And I have to be very strict about this because we've seen things that go beyond just normal friend requests. Okay? So we want people to feel safe to post videos without getting a lot of messages right after and having to monitor it. If you are getting a lot of messages or any messages, please communicate that to the moderators. You'll see who the moderators are and we will take care of it. So this is not non negotiable. You can communicate and connect. Now, if you do make a connection with other people inside the comments or you know, you're commenting on someone's videos and you, you already know each other, then of course you can connect beyond the Facebook group. But don't send a friend's request to someone who doesn't know you. Okay, good. Do we have a yes here? Put yes in the comments. Let me hear it. And if you feel that your privacy is invaded and if you feel that people are harassing you and they're from inside of the challenge, because it's a free challenge and open to everyone, please Let us know. Do not compromise your progress. Do not compromise your freedom to do whatever you want because of other people. The main thing here inside the challenge is for you to find your voice and use your voice as much as possible and not to limit it. And if something happens that makes you do that, we will take care of it. Yes. Yes. Yes, yes, yes, Yes. S Dog. Yes. Okay, good. Thank you. Please respect that this is, like, one of the most important things to us. No feedback on other people's English. The only person who is allowed to give feedback here is me in the coaching session or our coaches inside the sprints. While some people believe that it's the best way and it's actually a consistent, a considerate thing or a good thing to give people feedback, like correct their grammar or correct their pronunciation, it may not be perceived the same by other people. Sometimes people, you know, they. They. It takes so much courage out of them to just post the first video, and even though they might be aware that they have a mistake or two, they don't want to be confronted. They're just proud of themselves for posting. And imagine them seeing one or even more comments, just talking about their English and not even recognizing the effort that it took just to post something in English. Right? It's not the case here. We are encouraging people to post and no one is allowed to give feedback. And we're very strict about that as well. Even though, again, I know that some people might think it's encouraging and empowering. So please respect that. And the purpose of this group is to connect, communicate, and speak. One of our values is that everyone can learn with us. And I want to talk about this a little bit because it's not only the fact that, oh, we want to make it free and open for everyone, because that's a big part of our mission, to make our training accessible to people from all around the world. Not just for the people who can afford to buy our courses, but really to everyone. And this is why we do what we do, and this is why we don't charge for this pronunciation challenge. Even though the things that I'll be teaching you here are worth a lot of money and that we're happy to do it for free so that everyone can learn with us one way or another. But it's also about inclusivity and it's also about respect, because everyone can learn with us, whether you. You know, as long as they are respectful, as long as they share the same values, as long as they are inclusive, then this is a safe space for everyone. And while we, we live by it and this is a part of our core values, we really expect our community and the community members to feel the same and to create an inclusive and empowering environment for other community members too. And that is seen inside the practice groups or below the videos in the comments or if you happen to connect outside of Facebook. This is something that is important to us and we hope that it will be important to you as well. So for those of you who don't know me, who's here? Who here is new to me? Maybe you came from a Facebook ad, maybe someone recommended. So let me know in the comments if you're totally new to my world. I'm going to, I'm going to tell you about myself a little bit. Or maybe you just found out about this challenge. Okay, we have a few. Good. So welcome. Hi, my name is Hadar. I'm a non native speaker of English. I wasn't born in an English speaking country. In fact, the first time in my life that I had to put my English into practice was when I was 21 almost and I moved to the to New York to study acting. And my English was very okay. It wasn't amazing. I definitely had a very distinct non native accent because again, I never learned this. I didn't grow up in a house that spoke English. I was exposed to friends in Seinfeld, which I think is one of the reasons why I got that, that, that feel to the American culture. But I also moved there and I started working there as a bartender when I was 21 and I studied acting there for two years. So I lived in the US for a total of four and a half years. Now there is more to tell about this, but as part of my acting studies I studied speaking speech and pronunciation and I fell in love with the sounds of English, the rhythm, the melody and the confidence it gave me to communicate in English and to be myself. It wasn't an easy journey. I had to go through a lot to get to where I am today because learning the sounds was not enough. I had to make it my own and I had to learn how to sound natural and how to feel natural and how to feel effortless. And that took me years. And I want to teach you the things that I've learned inside this training and there is actually a follow up training, a masterclass that is going to happen in after the challenge where I'll share with you more things. So when I moved back to my country, I started teaching pronunciation because I loved it and I used to teach Privately in a small one bedroom apartment for many years. And that has grown into me training some of the biggest teachers and largest organizations in, in the world, training teams and of course training thousands and thousands of students around the world. I have a beautiful team or about 10 people running this business, this company, and we have five more coaches that we love and very grateful and happy to have the business that I have today. I have almost 800,000 subscribers on YouTube. That was a long journey as well. But I feel very privileged that I am able to support people and help people and share with them a little bit of my journey so that you don't make the same mistakes as I did and that you have an easier way to get to this stage of speaking English with clarity, confidence and freedom. All right, so I want to quickly go over the schedule of the seven days. So day one, which is tomorrow, what we're going to do is I'm going to teach you how to create a personalized framework for learning pronunciation. What does that mean? That means that you will understand what are the things that only you need to work on. I'll teach you my system for identifying your priorities. It is something that I have created. I've actually, I've given this priority system to, to. We've been, we've been using this priority system as I was helping Google develop its pronunciation tool. This is how they're basing their feedback mechanism. So this is something that I created, I started creating back then and then I evolved it and developed it and I'm going to be sharing that with you tomorrow. Then I'm going to teach you how to pronounce the most important consonants in English. That's on day two. A lot of fun. We're going to talk about consonants, consonant pairs, and so much more. Day three is all about how to stop confusing similar vowel sounds in English. So all the sheep, ship, cap, pool, pull, and more clarity, a lot more clarity around that. Day four. Listen, I was just reviewing the slides for day four. We finalized them a few days ago and I am so excited about teaching this session because I really was able to bring all the different elements that are important that you're not even aware of to a 45 minute presentation. So I'm excited about that. The magical power of your intonation, rhythm and voice in English. This is not only important for English, it's important for any language, your first language as well. Day five is all about breaking barriers and finding your path to success. I'm going to tackle all the obstacles that people usually face when Working on their pronunciation, but also on their fluency. And then day six, I'm going to be answering all your questions, all the questions that will come up during those five days. And then day seven, we're going to do some laser focused coaching, pronunciation coaching in a zoom call. So that's it. That these are the seven days. I'm super excited for those. For this challenge. I just got a comment from my husband saying, hi, Mom. It's Amalia. What are you talking about? Hi, Amalia, my love. I love you. She's watching, so I have to. I have to say hi. All right, my friends, are you ready? Are you ready? I want to remind you that you got this. You have what it takes to succeed, and I'm honored to be your guide and to help you get to the finish line with clarity around what you need to improve and with a newfound motivation to do this work. Okay. Because when you have clarity, you're excited to do this work. Overwhelm is the number one killer of motivation. So I'm excited to share with you what I know about reaching clarity, about motivation, and about freedom in English. All right, my friends. Okay. So, okay. Tori says, I'm excited we have someone fully ready. I don't see all of your names, unfortunately. Aaron says, let's do this. Andrea says, I'm in. Ready, Alexandra? Yes. Yes. Okay. We have a lot of people ready here. Ernest says ready. Good. All right, so in less than 24 hours, we are starting. Actually, we're starting sooner with our mindset talk, but day one training is going to happen in a little bit less than 24 hours. I'm honored. I'm thankful that you're here. If you have friends or family members who have not joined and you think that they might benefit from this session or from this challenge, share it with them. They still get a chance to join, but after they, like, if they don't join in the next two or three days, it's going to be too late. So get them to join now. It's better to do it with friends because you are held accountable, and it. It's going to make you feel more motivated. All right, my dear friends, have a beautiful, beautiful rest of the day, and I will see you tomorrow. Take care, my friends. Bye.
