Hello guys, it's Hadar. And this is the accent's way, your way to finding clarity, confidence and freedom in English. Today I want to talk to you about the three words quite, quiet and quit. Quite. As. I'm quite hungry right now. Quiet as in be quiet and quit as in I quit my job or quit it. Alright, so all three words begin with quote. That's a k sound and then a W sound. So to make the W sound, bring your lips together. W w W as in the word wow. In the word, you shift from the kw sound to an as in sit. So drop your jaw, keep space between the two teeth and relax your lips. You quit. And then it's a t sound. But it's a hell t so you barely hear it. Quit. Quit. Or you make just a very subtle t at the end. Quit. Quit. All right, now then we have the word quiet and quite. Let's take the word quite. It's the qu consonant cluster. And then the I sound. I as in mine. And then another T. Quite. Quite. The word quiet begins the same quiet, but then you have another syllable. It's a y sound, a schwa and a t. So it's quiet, quiet, quite. Quite, quiet, Quit. I quit my job. Be quiet and I'm quite hungry. Quite, Quiet. Quit. Alright, that's it. Thank you for watching.
