Was it a mindset video? Was it a fluency strategy or was it a sprint? I'm always curious to know what got people to follow me or to subscribe to my channel or follow me on Facebook. I think it's so cool. A shadowing video. Jefferson says cool. Yes, shadowing. I do a lot of shadowing. Good. So for those of you who are familiar with my work and we have mindset. For those of you who are familiar with my work, you know that I combined, I combine. I mostly focus on pronunciation in my teaching, but I incorporated a lot with practical strategies to practice like shadowing and also a lot of mindset. Because I think that no breakthrough is possible without mindset work, without internal work. And this is why I think it's so critical if you want to improve your English and definitely if you want to improve your pronunciation. Why do they always ask me about it? What's wrong with how I sound? And it took me some time to realize that there was nothing wrong. They were just trying to make conversation. But for me, like, it really hit me hard in a place of insecurity because I wasn't. So I wasn't confident in my English. And when I studied acting when I was 23, that was, I have trained, we had speech training there and I've learned all the sounds of English and I really mastered American English and different dialects of English. And it completely transformed how I experienced English and the confidence I had in communicating. Not, it wasn't just about the pronunciation, even though it has improved significantly. And you can, you know, like, this is what I teach you now. But it also changed the way I perceive English, how I use my voice, how I express myself. And it skyrocketed my fluency as well. And that's why I decided to take what I've learned and package it and start teaching it to other people. And throughout the years, I've learned from the experience of my own students and with the changing world and the Internet and social media and online content and AI like all of those things really changed the way I teach and the way I coach, and I've done a lot of personal development work, and I got a certification in life coaching, so I'm a certified life coach because I realized that I wanted to do that deep work and all of that, all my experience as an actress, as a teacher, as a student, as, as. As a life coach, I wanted to take all of that and turn it into a very holistic experience for my students because I knew that just pronunciation doesn't work. Just learning language the traditional way, grammar, vocabulary doesn't work, because they used to do all of that. And only when you package together and you put all the different ingredients together, you are able to have a real holistic experience and a real breakthrough. Okay, let me see. Is there a difference between pronunciation and accuracy? These are two different things really. So accuracy is pronunciation, but it's not going to give you feedback. So if you're asking about feedback, you know pronunciation. If you mispronounce a word, then your pronunciation is not accurate. But sometimes the feedback that you'll get. Okay, you, you said sheep instead of ship, right? That's feedback on your pronunciation, but it's more about accuracy because the word was not accurate in the context that you use. How it was detected. When I think of feedback on pronunciation feedback, I think, okay, you have to raise your tongue a little bit round, pull the lips to the side. The sound needs to be longer. This is more of a pronunciation feedback. So it's not just, no, this was not accurate. Try differently. But this was not accurate. Here is the reason and here is what you need to do differently when you pronounce, how you need to position your lips, your jaw, your tongue and all of your articulation organs. This is the feedback I give when people join a hot seat with me. And this is how I teach you to catch your own challenges and catch your own mispronunciations in every single lesson. We have a lot of repetitions so that you can internalize it. It's building the habit of using the tense. What is perfect? Why do we need it? How is it different? And then the past perfect, simple, and then present perfect, simple, present perfect, progressive and future perfect, simple.
