Hi and welcome to episode 272 of the Untethered podcast. We are in full swing of summer over here and a really funny thing happened the other day. And so this is going to be just a short episode this week because I wanted to share that, yes, it's true, I do have a private practice. Stay tuned for more. Quick disclaimer all information, content and material of this podcast are the opinions of of the speakers and is for the informational purpose only and not intended to serve as a substitute for the consultation, diagnosis and or medical treatment of a qualified health care provider. Welcome to the Untether podcast. I am your host, Holly Balkan. I'm a certified myofunctional therapist, feeding specialist, podcaster, business owner and mentor. This podcast is all about getting your questions answered and collaborating with colleagues to bring you the most up to date information in the orofacial myofunctional therapy, airway tethered oral tissue and pediatric feeding therapy space. If you're new here, I challenge you to keep an open mind and join my mission to spread this message far and wide. If you've been around since June 2019, thanks for being a loyal listener. As we jump into today's episode. Remember to listen with correct oral rest posture, tongue up, lips closed, teeth apart, breathe through your nose. Let's get started. Okay, so this is going to be. For parents and therapists alike, this is twofold. One, I want to share that I do have a private practice because we actually had somebody in my private practice who didn't know I had this podcast was mine and they were working with somebody on my team talking about the podcast and they're like, you know, that's, that's our boss. Like, that's the owner of our company. Our boss, you know, our boss. So funny. So we're going to talk about that. And. And then for those private practice owners who have been hoping for a business mastermind for growing your private practice also stay tuned because we're going to talk. This is going to be a quick, oh my goodness, I can't talk today. A quick episode. But we are going to touch on both things. So first and foremost, yes, I have a private practice. It is based in the D.C. metro area, D.C. maryland, Northern Virginia. Um, we have a team, a combination of. And sorry. We also treat in other places like New York, New Jersey, Florida mostly virtually in those other states and California as well, virtually. And what I wanted to point out was that I've had this private practice for 10 years and I don't know that I've really ever highlighted it on this podcast. And I think that's a little bit comical to me because they were like, yeah, this, like I was saying, one of my therapists was in a therapy session and this mom started talking about one of my recent episodes and sharing some information. And the therapist was like, that, that's Hallie that, you know, she's, she owns Little Sprout Therapy. And I was like, oh, that is, that's too funny. Maybe I do need to just literally say on the podcast, hey guys, this is my practice. So here we are. If you do want to find it. I'm not going to spend too much time here. But if you do, or if you are looking for a therapy practice in the D.C. metro area, sprout speech.com like l I T T L E Little Sprout S P R O U T Speech S P E C h dot com is still our website, but we are Little Sprout Therapy and Metro Mayo because we service pediatrics for speech feeding, OT and myo. And we also work with adults, like older children and adults in the myofunctional therapy space. So there's that. If anyone has any questions, feel free to reach out. I will tell you. Our website is, you know, cute, but also a little outdated. I haven't had to update it in years because we're such a word of mouth private practice that there just hasn't been a need. But part of me keeps going back and going, maybe we should just to be, you know, up to date, more up to date with the times, if not anything else. But yes, it is a little bit of an older, an older website. The front page looks okay. The other pages you'll notice the age. Anyways. Okay. So if you want to reach us, if you're Interested in services, clientcareittlesproutspeech.com or 3018811394 the best way to get a get in contact with us the fastest is by either texting 301-881-1394 or emailing clientcare little sproutspeech.com that is because we are a traveling practice and our team comes to you. We go into homes, daycares, preschools, you know, private schools after school, even for public school programs after school. And so we're constantly on the go. And so it's much easier to have a written format so that we can share different intake information or you know, requests with our team in a written format and then get back to us pretty quickly to let Us know, like if they have availability and when and where and all that fun stuff. All right, so that's little sprout therapy. On the flip side, I also mentor therapists who own private practices and I haven't been doing as much of it as of late. I've had some one on one clients. But a couple of years ago, I did what I called the Real Biz Mastermind. Okay. And the Real Biz Mastermind was ultimately a eight month program. It may have been ten months. Eight or ten months. I'd have to go back and look where I helped already existing private practice owners grow their private practices. And it was a combination of all kinds of different strategies. And you know, we worked on identity, we worked on marketing, we worked on all kinds of things. And if you go to halliebulcan.com you can pull up. Let's see if, let's see if I can pull it up really easily. Halibalkin.com you go to business programs, business mentorship. Oh, you know what, I used to have Real Biz Mastermind up here, but it's kind of been edited. Ultimately I have this method. I created the Real Biz method. And it, it goes like this. Review, edit, apply, lean in. And so following that Real Biz method, we take these private practices and we grow them. And I want to pull up a message, I'm not going to share who this was from because I did not ask prior permission, but I want to pull up a message from somebody who was in it who recently did her taxes and everything and said she sent me the most amazing message. Let's see if it was on one of these threads or not. But basically just telling me that she was really, really like, let's see, hold on. Okay, here it is. So Basically, you know, 2023 gross income hit over $200,000. When this person signed up for the Mastermind, they were at around $70,000, maybe 78,000. She like this person couldn't remember. So just like a big thank you, thank you, thank you kind of text message, right? And I think that's so fun because you can see that there truly is growth when you're going from 70 or even 78k to over 200k just a year, year or two later. That's big. And that was this person's goal. And they've been able to build out a team with contractors who travel to treat. And very similar to my model in my business up in the D.C. metro area. And this person exists in different market than I do, than My practice does, but there's a ton of businesses up that D.C. metro area. But that's besides the point. The point is, I am thinking about reopening this Mastermind because I've had quite a few people reach out and sometimes, you know, I didn't really have the space for it previously, but I have space in my calendar now to run this Mastermind again. And because so many people have been interested, I think we're gonna re. We're gonna do it. We're gonna run with it. So if you are somebody who is interested in growing your private practice, you already have a private practice. You don't necessarily have to be at a certain income level per se, but, like, you should have a practice that already has some patience in it. Okay, maybe you see it one day a week of patience. That's fine. And you're like, I want to go full time. Or you already have a full time practice, but you want to build a team. Right? Whatever that growth strategy is that you're needing help with. If you email supporteedthepedes.com and say, Hey, I heard Hallie talking about the Real Biz Mastermind and how she might reopen it, you know, can you put me on the wait list? We're. We're creating a manual wait list. We're going to create an official one. We'll send it out to our email list. But right now, we're creating a manual wait list because I haven't even told the team that I'm doing this. I've just had little minor conversations. We are going to roll this out. Actually, I don't know. So I'm not going to say that. I want to say in the next couple months so that we can get moving and grooving. So, yes, if this is you and you are Interested Again, email supporteedthepeds.com so that you can get on the waitlist and we will let you know when the applications roll out for the Real Biz Mastermind. All right, everybody, that is it. I just, My team was. We were rolling, like, laughing that I was like, I don't think I've ever really plugged my own private practice. I don't think I've ever shared the email for it. I don't think I've ever shared the phone number for it. I don't think I've ever shared the website for it. On this podcast, and we have how many episodes? Like, over 270 episodes now. But here I am with a platform, you know, basically asking everybody else to share their information every time they guest appear on my podc, I was like, it's time. We got to do this. And then yes, because I've had so many requests for the rollbiz Mastermind lately, I'm like, the universe is telling me something. I think we need to move forward with putting together that mastermind again. So here we are. All right, if you're interested again, supportthepedes.com and if you're looking for that private practice, that's clientcareitlittlesproutspeech.com have a great week everybody.
