All right, guys, so let me show you a tour of my office. This is where we enter the office. And so when a client comes, they are going to come and sit either here at the table or I've got some chairs over here. Some parents opt to sit outside of the office, which I allow. Some prefer to stay in their car and just do phone calls or work from there. But, you know, to each their own. They're always welcome to hang in our sessions, and they're welcome to do that. Some kids prefer not. I have a little table over here for my younger kids, and so I've got various seating, seating options, and I like it because I want the kid to be the most relaxed they can be. And so sometimes I vary the seating based on that. The reason why I love this little Amazon table is this chair here flips up so you can see it's a little bit higher. Flip it the other way. And now it sits a little bit lower for your younger ones, or you can also sit at the level of the child. If you're an adult or maybe an older kid who wants to, you know, a sibling comes or something, you can sit here also. And it's, you know, also stores itself under this table, which is great. Now if you look under the table, there is an area that flips. We could flip this table and so you could sit on the floor and play at it, or flip it the other way and it becomes a little workstation. Super awesome. Fun little table. Got it on Amazon. Happy to link to it. If you guys are interested. Don't mind our Cheerios that are still sitting there from a MYO session I did last night with a kiddo. And these chairs also are from Amazon. This pillow is something that one of my colleagues created, and if you're interested, I can always link you to her Etsy store. She also actually created this for me a while ago, and I still have not hung it up. Those are my logo colors. She had created this. And I said, hey, can you do this, like, pop art thing with my logo colors using all those mouths so I can hang it on the wall? And she did. And look how beautiful that is. It definitely needs to go up. I have this little fun green thing here because I actually used it for my own child when we were working on some gross motor skills with her when she was an infant. And now it just kind of hangs out in my office as just another little squishy thing that some kids enjoy taking a little sensory break with. I got this thing for my sensory kids or My kids, who just need some movement, and my babies, because sometimes doing a little bouncing or showing a parent how to do certain exercises on a peanut ball. And this is a large peanut ball. Sometimes that's just really great. And so we will move this table here, move this out of the way. We'll move this table here back towards there, and give us a little bit more space in the middle so we can roll around and be a little bit more active. I also have a highchair here. Love the highchair. Because I can show parents how to adapt their highchair at home. And so while my team travels to treat, I do not. I only treat out of my office. So having the height chair and this was the high chair I use with my kids, is just a phenomenal tool to show parents how easy it is to, like, roll up some washcloths or hand towels and stick them, you know, next to your child or stick it underneath the COVID so that you can adapt a high chair that supports the baby's posture. In my kitchen, I also have two Stoke Tripp Trapp chairs. One that's more infant suited and one that's more toddler suited. And I will pull that in here for some of my patients and put it right here next to that chair. So the parent sits there, the child sits in the stoke trip trap here. But then for some kiddos, we just sit over here because it's, you know, more functional for them or just feels a little bit less formal. Takes off, you know, takes the edge off a little bit less anxiety. And that's what we want in feeding therapy. So, you know, I have various seating options, and the stoked trip trap chairs are not cheap, but my other options are not anything that were too expensive to invest in. I've got my usual office things over here. My printer stuff. My organized chaos, if you will. Once upon a time, we said this would be my husband's desk. I literally, like, have had those boxes under there since we put this office together. And since it's kind of out of sight for me, most of the time, it just lived there. And I really should go through that. Spring cleaning. This is some organized chaos here. I know I could tell you what's in every single one of these little compartments. And this is my most favorite thing ever. My scanner. Because. Because we are paperless, so we scan everything. Totally awesome investment. I'll show you why it's an awesome investment in a second. This is my desk. It's cleaned off. Sometimes we have to move this away for some friends who are running around the office and need this. Out of sight, out of mind. Got my podcasting mic and I have a little ring light here that helps because I find that this does not record light that well or does not record that well, despite how much light I have in my office. I also have a ring light this. This little guy over here that's kind of tucked away in my. My materials closet and. Or my assessment closet, I should say. And then I've got some nice decorations up here. However you come over to this and really use some help. Could really use some help kind of knowing, like what to put in those frames. So if you guys have ideas, send them on over. All right, here's my shredder. So as soon as I scan something, even though I'm out of network, like we will scan any ins paper work. We get notices and put them in the patient's file. Sometimes we forwarded them. We forward them to the patient, just depending on what it says and if it's something that the patient needs, like an authorization that the parents submitted on their own, because we do not submit for those. But I love my shredder. I love, you know, this is how I keep things nice and HIPAA compliant in my home so I don't have to technically keep anything locked up. However, when we built this house, I did have them do one closet, so that locks so that if I did have HIPAA compliant information, it could be in this closet. And it is. So I have some of our own personal things down here on the left, personal files. And then I've also got. May only be down to one. It's either one or two bins down here of HIPAA information. You know, like I'd say information that needs to be. Needs to remain there. Because of HIPAA reasons, I haven't taken the time to scan it all in and shred it, honestly, because most of it's from the first year in practice. And I'm, you know, we'll be at six years. And so once we hit seven years, I'll just shred it all next year. There's no reason to keep it all. It's just old therapy files that are seven, almost seven years old, six years old. One more year to go. So since we just shred it anyways, I'm not planning to scan that pile. And again, we do not take insurance. So I have different. These are the rules that I'm allowed to follow. I don't know what the rules are for people who take insurance. This is my assessment battery and it's possible that there are some things missing. Actually there's definitely things missing because all of my assessments do not fit on this shelf. So we definitely have some assessments out. All of my OT assessments I believe are with some of my OTs and I've got various speech and language assessments out as well. Up here we have some beautiful OT forms and speech forms, speech language forms and some materials and more forms and more forms. Dental, natural dentist, associate referral pad back there and then up here I've got marketing materials and I've got some laminating materials. And then up here we've just got some things stored up there plus some travel books and speakers and bunch of business books that I love. So that's my assessment closet. My next closet is where I what I know you guys are all really interested in is my. Let me back up so you can see it all. Look at that beautiful closet. I had help organizing all these things and had somebody give me the ideas of like what to use for different things because while I love organization, my mind just gets like overwhelmed by all the different things at the Container Store. So it was really helpful to have somebody go like hey, why don't we get this and this and this for all those different things that you showed me. And that was awesome. So some of my favorite organizing bins are these. Well, first of all, I love these little ones on wheels that roll out. These are all like therapy materials that I've either purchased or created or little books that I've made in the past rarely use them if we're being honest at this point in my, my therapeutic career. This is all different like, like I've got, you can see, I've got the talk tools trainings that I've purchased. I've got sample cups that I show parents and I showed you guys this one on a recording. I've got different like infant nipples that we can try, they can give out to parents to try. And sometimes these actually work well on some of the bottles that, like Dr. Brown's bottle for example. You don't have to have like the infant system to use those and just different programs. You see, I've got lots of elastics like what we use in mine. I bought them in like major ball toys for my little ones because sometimes mom and I have to chat. So some of our, you know, infants and toddlers can definitely play with toys. Don't love these kind of toys because they're not easily cleana. So I do have a lot of plastic toys for that reason in Here, aside from that little noise making one. And then you'll find I've got my own marketing materials here. Cards, referral pads. I've got these little trays that I bought at Target which are fun because I use them in therapy as my trays. And then I put them off to the side and clean them all, sanitize, sterilize, do all that fun stuff at the end of my working day. I've got other therapy materials in here, some mayo and therapy materials. I love this food feeder that I recommend to parents. My straws, these are my biodegradable straws. Cheesecloth, which I don't love. I'm not, if I'm being honest. Spray bottles, you know, all kinds of fun things in there. Paper towels always on hand and little like shot glasses to teach open cup drinking. I've got 1 ounce and 2 ounce here, plus tubing and just all kinds of other fun horns and chewy tubes and all kinds of things. These are so great because they're clear. I can see what's in them. And you can see I can fit three across, which is just fabulous. So organized chaos. But I know, I know what's in each one. And then this is like my most beautiful favorite shelf because we have syringe feeders or syringes we can use for feeding, for syringe feeding, finger feeding. We've also got my tongue depressors and gloves and some MYO tools down here. When I was traveling, this was my most favorite little three dollar find ever at the Container Store. Pretty sure it's still 2.99. I don't know why it's only $2.99. Look at that price right there. Has two sides to it and fits so many little tools. So if you could just like fill it up to take it with you for the day. If you're doing MYO or oral motor types of things therapy on the go. I need to refill my like glove container. I've got my, you know, my dental retractors in there. And then you'll see here just a variety of other tools that I use in therapy. I've got various mirrors here. Sometimes they get dirty and I don't like to clean them right away. Here's a big one I got on Amazon. It's plastic and really good for my kiddos who like to get rambunctious. And then, yes, you'll just see that I've got some stuff to sanitize up there. But I've got these books are more focused on mayo tongue tie textbooks, etc. And those are my like grad school books that I've kept up there as well as extra supplies. This closet is super quick. This is literally just a closet full of sweater boxes that I found. So I have actually business or office materials up top like envelopes and greeting cards and things like that and just gift bags and whatever because we do holiday gifts. But these are sweater boxes that I found. You can see I've got 12 of them and they're just the best thing to hold various toys and games and books and all kinds of things and so we can see what's in there. The kids love them. This is actually a bunch of AAC stuff up here, but the rest of them are pretty much. And this one's actually some office materials, but the rest are all books, games, toys, etc. I also have some bins down here that you can see are getting crushed. But they're beautiful bins full of toys that will just pull out and the kids can. Kids can, you know, just take out toys from the bin because that's always fun to see what's in the bin. So that is, that's my office if you guys have any questions. Happy to answer them, but there you have it. And this is my posture chart that I never hung up. Gonna lie. I don't really want to hang it on my beautiful wall over here. I think I'd rather hang up that picture. So that's where that stands. Alright guys, hope you enjoyed this. Let me know if you have questions. Chat soon.
