Curaplex IV Kit

Hello, everyone. My name is David Cooper. I'm from the Medical Services division. And I want to talk to you about a new piece of equipment that's showing up on the trucks very soon. So the IV start kits are going to be gradually getting phased out. We're not going to be getting the ones that you have currently. We're going to be getting a replacement. And this replacement has a couple of different features that you need to be aware of before you use them on the truck. So the first thing I want you to know is that the contents of this new kit, the kit looks like this, and the contents of the kit are namely this. It's got a vena guard in it, so the Tegaderm is no more. It's got a 2x2 gauze, sponge. There is a alcohol prep and the tourniquet. The one thing that's missing from this package is the J loop. So you're gonna have to grab this J loop from the medical supply and attach this whenever you start an iv. So when you start an IV again, you're gonna want to get your start kit, grab your J loop, and grab your IV needle, and that's gonna be everything that you need to start your iv.
